Good night.
And we'll bring you news of tomorrow's Scottish League Cup draw tomorrow.
Time for me to sign off, there'll be more reaction to Celtic's Champions League exit on the BBC Sport website later.
That's the last of tonight's Scottish League Cup ties, Falkirk join Dundee, Hamilton, Hearts, Hibernian, Kilmarnock, Livingston, Partick Thistle, Ross County, St Mirren and Rangers or Inverness in tomorrow's third-round draw, along with Aberdeen, Celtic, Dundee United, Motherwell and St Johnstone.
Dean Brett, Iain Campbell and Nathaniel Wedderburn converted for Cowden, Will Vaulks, Rory Loy, Rory Loy and Scott Shepherd netted for the Bairns,
And, after Craig Johnston had his penalty saved, Craig Sibbald scored his to send Falkirk through.
Kev in Northampton: "Delia,Berget and Ambrose have to go NOW!!!!!!"
Anonymous: "Where do Celtic go now do we buy into the manger style and will he have the fans trust I say give managers time but how long?"
Ronny Deila added he hoped to add "two" players before Monday's transfer deadline.
Ronny Deila
Celtic manager
"The first half was not good enough, there was too little energy. In the second half we were more aggressive. There were two chances before the goal.
"In the end, there's only one thing to say, we weren't good enough. We didn't lose because of the defending, we lost because we didn't create anything. Of course, it's disappointing."
Stevie, Motherwell: "Celtic need a clearout and play kids now just shows it works with mcgregor doing great."
NK Maribor manager Ante Simundza
"I knew that they would not go immediately to get the pressure. I knew they would wait until the second half. I was confident that we could score. It's very important for us and it's a great thing for Slovenia."
Falkirk 0-0 Cowdenbeath
Livingston 0-0 Queen of the South
Still no goals at the Falkirk Stadium or Almondvale.
John: "Let not forget that Hamilton's brilliant start to the season continued tonight! Go on the Accies!"
Anonymous: "What more can one say Celtic have only them selves to blame they took the cheap option in Ronny Deila"
Jim in Edinburgh: "Well done maribor better side.thats sad to say for a celtic fan."
Anonymous: "Celtic should be playing direct straight up field..too many pass backs towards our own goal...manager hasnt got a clue how to play the celtic way...they got a second chance and blew it big style...very embarrassing for a club of this calibre"
Tom: "Deila says Celtic too big to have to qualify for tournament proper....2 bites of the cherry says not."
Dundee were comfortable winners over Raith Rovers, as were Hamilton Academical against Alloa Athletic.
Hibernian came from 2-0 down to beat Dumbarton 3-2 with the three Hibs goals coming in the last 12 minutes.
Elsewhere, there were narrow wins for Kilmarnock over local rivals Ayr United, Rangers against Queen's Park, St Mirren over Dunfermline and Ross County against Stranraer.
Matt McSheaffrey: "Van Dijk and McGregor the only players with pass marks. Deila also definitely failed this test. #bbcsportscot"
MBEHAN: "This at least saves Celtic real embarrassment in the Champions League #blametheboard #bbcsportscot"
Anonymous: "That Celtic performance was embarrassing. Clear players have lack of direction and leadership."
Falkirk 0-0 Cowdenbeath
Livingston 0-0 Queen of the South
Extra-time being played in both ties.
