    Richard Wilson
    BBC Scotland at Rugby Park

"The Champions League means little in Ayrshire tonight. The League Cup brings local rivals Kilmarnock and Ayr United together at Rugby Park, which means tension, excitement and a full-blooded contest.

"There will be an edge to the occasion, and there are more than 8,000 fans here tonight. Both sides are doing well in their respective leagues, but nothing else matters right now than overcoming the neighbours."

  12. Postpublished at 19:34 British Summer Time 26 August 2014

    Alasdair Lamont
BBC Scotland's senior football reporter at Celtic Park

"Ronny Deila's decision to leave last season's top scorer Kris Commons on the bench again is an interesting one. Commons certainly hasn't been at the peak of his form so far this season, but nonetheless isn't greatly happy at missing out on such big matches. That's a situation to keep a close eye on over the last few days of the transfer window."
