That is all from our European football coverage for the evening. I hope you enjoyed the game. If not then you are never allowed to look at football again. That's it, you're out! Until next time, ta ra. I'll see thee.

Milan did it the hard way but they now have two wins from two games this season. They join Juventus and Roma in having achieved this feat this campaign and are top of the table on goal difference. Parma, however, are winless after two games along with Empoli. It almost seems unfair on them that they can't take something away from tonight's game. I tell you what Parma, you have my gratitude, and that's worth more than league points right? Parma? Right?!

  3. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:41 British Summer Time 14 September 2014

A truly astonishing game comes to an end. Milan have won it but that is only a tiny bit of the story. The game twisted and turned like a twisty, turny thing. We've had nine goals, including a solo effort from Nigel de Jong, a superb backheel from Jeremy Menez and a ludicrous own goal, assisted by Milan keeper Diego Lopez. Oh, and two sendings off as well. Right everyone, you can breathe out now.

  4. Postpublished at 21:38 British Summer Time 14 September 2014

The Milan defenders are doing a sterling job of protecting Diego Lopez. Parma are unleashing plenty of long-range shots to try and beat the injured keeper but so far all they have hit is Milan bodies. The six added minutes are now up.

  5. Postpublished at 21:36 British Summer Time 14 September 2014

There are six added minutes. This game is not over yet! Lopez is moving awkwardly. Surely it is shoot on sight for Parma.

  6. GOALpublished at 21:32 British Summer Time 14 September 2014

You have got to be kidding me?! What has Diego Lopez just done?!! Milan full-back Mattia De Sciglio has possession but is under pressure on the right side of his own half and so digs out a pass back to his keeper, believing it will be dealt with easily. However, Lopez somehow allows the ball to pass him and dribble into the net without even getting a touch. He acts as though he may have pulled something but you suspect that is an attempt to recoup some pride. Because he has just made an utter fool of himself.

Over in France, Marseille have wrapped up the win against Evian with Florian Thauvin making it 3-0.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:29 British Summer Time 14 September 2014

Jeremy Menez can take a well-deserved rest. He's had a cracking night, capped by the cheekiest of goals. He is replaced by M'Baye Niang with four minutes to go.

  10. Postpublished at 21:25 British Summer Time 14 September 2014

So, let me get this straight... eight goals, two sendings off, a crossbar hit and some pretty excessive celebrations from the visitors. Not bad for an otherwise quiet Sunday night.

  11. GOALpublished at 21:21 British Summer Time 14 September 2014

Unbelievable! That is surely the win for Milan now. And what a superb and cheeky piece of skill to wrap up a win. Jeremy Menez is alert in the box to latch on to a loose pass-back from Stefan Ristovski, clip the ball round the advancing Antonio Mirante before back-heeling the ball into the net. Lovely stuff. The Milan players are having a party like it's 1999 as well.

  12. RED CARDpublished at 21:19 British Summer Time 14 September 2014

That is ridiculous. No way is that a sending off. Felipe is moving at pace and may slightly brush a Milan player, but the dramatic dive that it results in is completely over the top. The ref buys it hook, line and sinker and shows the Parma man a straight red. It is now 10-a-side.

  13. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 21:19 British Summer Time 14 September 2014

Parma have just scored so of course it is Milan's turn to attack. Jeremy Menez charges away from Alessandro Lucarelli again down the left and into the box before firing a shot from an angle that Antonio Mirante pushes up onto the corner of the goalframe.

  14. GOALpublished at 21:15 British Summer Time 14 September 2014

That is a pretty good start! A corner is swung over from the right and slammed into the net by the head of Alessandro Lucarelli. This is an astonishing game. And you sense it is not done yet. Strap yourself in for a big 16 minutes!

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:15 British Summer Time 14 September 2014

Another Parma change sees Massimo Coda come on for Cristobal Jorquera. They have less than 20 minutes to rescue this.

    Nigel de JongImage source, AFP

If you had drawn up a list of likely scorers of the next goal, Nigel de Jong would be near the very bottom. And you certainly wouldn't expect him to run half the length of the pitch before slotting in either. Well that is what has just happened after the Dutch midfielder closes down and dispossesses Antonio Cassano before charging clear to score. At one stage it looked like De Jong didn't have the wheels but he found the gas and got his reward and 10-man Milan have something better to protect.

  17. Tevez on target for Juvepublished at 21:09 British Summer Time 14 September 2014

    Italian Serie A

Argentina striker Carlos Tevez scored his first goal of the season as Juventus beat Udinese 2-0 in manager Massimiliano Allegri's home bow.

The Italian champions made it two wins from two in Serie A ahead of Tuesday's Champions League visit of Malmo.

Allegri struggled to make any impact at Milan but you would have to fancy his chances of doing better at the Italian champions. Two wins from two for Juve.

  19. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:08 British Summer Time 14 September 2014

Parma make a change of their own to try and capitalize on their numerical advantage. Raffaele Palladino comes on for Abdelkader Ghezzal. There are 25 potentially gripping minutes to go.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:06 British Summer Time 14 September 2014

Filippo Inzaghi has his work cut out now to put a tactical plan together to preserve Milan's lead. His first act is to withdraw Keisuke Honda and Alex and send on Cristian Zapata and Adil Rami.
