What a goal! Good grief! A goal fit to win any game in any cup in any land!

Right-back Nathaniel Clyne scored a great goal at Anfield in August but this is special. A corner is cleared to him 35 yards out, he takes one touch and then with minimal backlift humps it into the top corner. Pretty close to Arsenal keeper David Ospina but travelling at a rate of knots.

  2. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:23 British Summer Time 23 September 2014

Almost a leveller for Middlesbrough, who are coming out of their shells now. Lee Tomlin lets fly from 25 yards, super technique to control the strike, it moves in the air too and Simon Mignolet has to move his feet well to change direction and push it away. Much better from Boro.

Cardiff's League Cup chances this year are pretty slim. Bournemouth flying as Dan Gosling grabs his second of the night, tapping in the loose ball.

After a bright enough start Everton are struggling to get close to Swansea. A bad week on the domestic front for the Toffees looks like continuing.

"We get a marvellous piece of play from Jefferson Montero. It looked like the opportunity was gone, the ball missed Bafetimbi Gomis, but found Nathan Dyer."

"It's a foul just inside the box, Tomas Rosicky was a little bit clumsy on Mane and for me it's a penalty. None of the Arsenal lads complained about it. Cool finish from Dusan Tadic to send David Ospina the wrong way. Southampton have bounced back well."

Raheem Sterling is keeping the Boro defence honest with plenty of pace and powerful running but every time he gets it he is well closed down at the moment.
