    It was a great save by Joe Hart but he can't do anything as West Ham take the lead! Alex Song splits the defence with a superb pass to send Enner Valencia away on the left, he cuts the ball back for the unmarked Morgan Amalfitano to stab in from close range with Hart stranded. Amalfitano leaps into the crowd to celebrate.

    West Ham nearly sneak through! James Collins lifts a free-kick into the area and the ball is flicked on for Enner Valencia, who is denied by a very brave stop by Joe Hart. The Manchester City keeper clashes with Valencia and has the wind knocked out of him, he is flat on the ground with his arms outstretched.

    Diafra Sakho makes a bit of nuisance of himself inside the Manchester City area, forcing City defender Eliaquim Mangala to stab the ball away from the striker and Joe Hart then has to punch the clearance behind his own goal to be sure.

    Martin Atkinson pulls out a yellow card and waves it in the direction of Morgan Amalfitano after the West Ham man lunged in on Jesus Navas, taking all of his legs and none of the ball. Navas then heads over from the resulting free-kick. Good start by the visitors.

    There is definitely a buoyant atmosphere at West Ham with the home fans in good voice, and they have good reason to be. They have won their last two games at Upton Park but this will be a big test for them as Manchester City go close again, David Silva curling a free-kick over the Hammers' wall and just over the goal.

    It is a third successive start for Sergio Aguero and he is immediately looking up for this clash, driving forward before smacking a dipping effort towards goal. It is always going wide, but an early signal of his intent.

    We asked you to pick your favourite from the latest batch of memorable FA Cup goals as we count down to the first round of the competition.

    The clear winner was Xabi Alonso, for his stunning strike for Liverpool in their match against Luton in a third-round tie in 2006. It got 36.82% of the votes.

    Arsenal legend Thierry Henry scoring on his return to the club against Leeds in the 2012 fourth round came second with 19.77% of the vote.

    Lots of tough-tackling and endeavour but only one real chance 25 minutes into this Championship clash.

    A superb ball from Cardiff's Peter Whittingham put Adam Le Fondre through on goal but the striker's lob over Millwall keeper David Forde landed on top of the net as opposed to in it.

    Tight match this, both sides playing well.

    Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini, speaking to BT Sport: "It [the Champions League match against CSKA Moscow in midweek] was a game that was not finished, we made important damage in the first half and we maybe thought it was over, but it is never finished until the final whistle.

    "It was a mistake, but we have time to fight for the next nine points. Now we are in the Premier League, and we cannot drop points if we want to beat Chelsea. Both teams [West Ham and Manchester City] play attractive football, we will see which team is better."

    "The last two seasons at Manchester United with so many injuries, I was very upset, missing my family and friends, I wanted something new," says Nani.

    "Before David Moyes I was very happy at Manchester United, that was my club. But of course it is very difficult when a player like me is treated a certain way.

    "If I come back to the club and they receive me well, if that they want me to be part of the team I will be very happy, if not we will find a solution."
