Speaking of the FA Cup, it's a huge day for non-League clubs as they look to join League One and League Two clubs in Monday's FA Cup first-round draw, which is live on the BBC.

All eyes will be on Devon side Willand Rovers, from the ninth-tier Western League Premier Division, as they look to secure a money-spinning tie by defeating Gosport Borough. Also hoping to hit the jackpot at this early stage are Shildon, of Northern League Division One, when they travel to Norton United, while Greenwich Borough, of the Southern Counties East League, who are at Worcester City on Sunday.

Conference North side Chorley will be hoping to roll back the years. The Magpies, who entertain Halifax, famously defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers in the first round in 1986, while Northern Premier League Division One North side Warrington Town, managed by FA Cup winner Peter Reid's brother, Shaun, will reach the first round for the first time if they defeat North Ferriby United.

A full list of this weekend's FA Cup fixtures are on the BBC Sport website.

  3. Get involved: "Can we have our ball back?"published at 12:28 British Summer Time 25 October 2014

This morning we have been working in tandem with The Danny Baker Show on BBC Radio 5 live and asking you to share your interesting anecdotes around having to ask the eternal question: "Can we have our ball back please?"

Timo, Nottingham: After hoofing the ball over a fence into a garden, I went to collect it by knocking on the door, which was answered by very pretty girl. Having retrieved the ball and gone all red-faced and awkward I went back to my mates and told them about her. None of them believed me, so in an attempt to prove them otherwise we threw the ball back over the fence and about six of us 14-15 year-old lads went round to knock on the door again, which was inevitably opened by the pretty girl's grandma, who was not happy, and I was subject to verbal ribbings for having a penchant for older women, which latest for a couple of school years. The problems that one wayward kick of a ball can cause...

"If a chairman needed a manager I would be a little bit unsure about Tony Pulis. If there were problems 48 hours before a game you might be thinking: 'Can I trust him to stay on?' I think he needs to properly explain why he left Crystal Palace.

"For me it was the timing. Had he left at the end of the season, or in pre-season, that is different. But two days before the start of the season? I think he let the club down. But before that he completely transformed Stoke back into a proper top flight club. We never ever talk about Stoke in terms of relegation, and that is because of him."

Tony Pulis has been speaking to Danny Higginbotham on Football Focus and explains the reason he left Crystal Palace.

"I'd worked with Steve Parish and got on well with him," says Pulis. "But he had a different view and wanting to do things than the way I wanted to do it. I just thought it would come to a time where it wouldn't be good for the football club.

"There is no way I would have walked away from the club unless we agreed. I think the important thing is finding a chairman again that you can work with and will give you the chance to do what you're good at."

    BBC Radio 5 live

Former Manchester United, Aston Villa and Manchester City goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel on BBC Radio 5 live: "West Ham's Sam Allardyce is a man who is willing to take a gamble on a transfer. He tends to bring in a player that is dependable and will do a job, and then also take a bit more of a risky choice.

"He did it the same way in Bolton, with the likes of Youri Djorkaeff and Jay-Jay Okocha and now he has done it with the likes of Diafra Sakho from Metz and Aaron Cresswell from Ipswich."

"The Hammers are a top-four side at the moment. Upton Park will be rocking. This will be a real test for the defending champions Manchester City after their exhausting and frustrating trip to Moscow.

"They may be unbeaten in seven games. They may be the only side capable of stopping Chelsea in the title race this season. But they're still nowhere near top form away from home. If they're not really at it against West Ham, they could suffer again."

This morning we have been working in tandem with The Danny Baker Show on BBC Radio 5 live and asking you to share your interesting anecdotes around having to ask the eternal question: "Can we have our ball back please?"

Rhys, Dolgellau: When I was seven I went to retrieve a ball that landed between a cow and its new born calf. For my efforts, the cow cornered me and headbutted me in the face. As I tried to flee our legs got tangled and I fell to the ground, followed by the 500kg of bovine that landed on top of me. This resulted in a broken nose, a bruised back, and a dreaded fear of cows that would last for years. Totally worth it.

Under way at The Den and it's a lively atmosphere.

Millwall boss Ian Holloway, looking to end a run of eight games without a win, said before kick-off: "The performance levels have been not bad but we need to turn that into some points." Indeed.

Bluebirds boss Russell Slade looks much more relaxed, not surprising given his team have won both games since he took over. "It will be very difficult today," Slade said, "because Ollie sets his team up well. It should be an interesting afternoon, I'm looking forward to it."

So Sergio Aguero, who is level with Diego Costa at the top of the Premier League scoring charts with nine goals, starts his third match in a week as Manchester City look to move to within two points of leaders Chelsea.

Adam, Birmingham: When I was 12, I once kicked a ball in the garden straight in the net, however my shoe went flying over the fence. Very embarrassing hopping around and asking for it back!

West Ham boss Sam Allardyce, speaking to BT Sport: "The new players we have recruited through the summer have hit the ground running. It has lifted the rest of the players here to reach another level and hit the high standard.

"We have scored 15 goals which, for us, is better than we have ever done in the Premier League at this stage of the season."

"The statistics show the progress that West Ham have made in the last few months - this season they have more goals and shots on target per game, and are also playing more passes more accurately with fewer long balls.

"Allardyce's summer signings have played a big part in that improvement, but he deserves credit for the way he has bedded them in.

"In the first two games of the season, only two new faces started, but that number has steadily increased as the campaign has gone on. In their last two games, the wins over QPR and Burnley, there were seven and six new players in the Hammers' starting line-up."

Fancy a few goals from this early kick off? Recent meetings between the two sides suggest you may well be in luck. City have won the last four games between the two sides, racking up 14 goals and conceding just one.

West Ham, though, are looking a very different proposition this season. They have scored 15 goals in just eight league games - with the impressive Diafra Sakho scoring in each of the last five - and are up to fourth in the Premier League - a position in the table Sam Allardyce once thought he would only ever see if his name was Allardici., external
