    Celtic manager Ronny Deila

"We have a good chance now [of reaching his target of 10 points in Group D]. We are looking forward now to playing Astra. Craig Gordon is a very good goalkeeper. He is very calm. I am very happy. Europe is very exciting to play in."

    Celtic manager Ronny Deila

"It was an important game. We wanted to get control of the group. When you see the second half they had the better chances but in the first half we had the better chances but it was even with the ball. In the second half we got tired. We couldn't keep up the pressure. I'm very pleased with the team spirit but we need better passing. Craig was unbelievable. He made vital saves."

Andrew, Richhill: "Great win for Celtic tonight, 4 points from the first 2 games is a massive step towards qualification for the knockout stages."

    BBC Scotland's Tom English

"Three absolutely critical points for Celtic. I can't believe there was only one goal in this match,. There must have been 12 or 13 really decent chances. Craig Gordon has got them four points with his saves in both matches [in Group D so far]. When you've got a brilliant goalkeeper, is it fair to say you were lucky? I think Celtic will say they got away with that one. There was a great atmosphere. It was a really good game and the result was in doubt until the end. Some Europa League games can be a bit flat but there was a real edge to this match."

Full time in the other Group D match: Astra Giurgiu 1-2 SV Red Bull Salzburg. That means the Austrians and Celtic both have four points, while Dinamo Zagreb remain on three, with Astra yet to get off the mark. It's a double -header against the Romanians next for Ronny Deila's side.

Clever play by Leigh Griffiths as Celtic break down the right and, rather than go for goal and risk losing possession, he wins a corner but slowing the play right do-o-own.

Jason Denayer brings down Henriquez on the edge of the box out on the left - and is booked - but Celtic goalie Craig Gordon plucks the resultant cross into the box from Marcelo Brozovic like a maiden aunt picking apples in her orchard.

El Arbi Hillel Soudani gets into an advanced position for the Croatians and hits a left-foot shot at goal but Craig Gordon smothers it. A minute later the Algerian spins 10 yards out but his shot is wayward. The Croatians will feel they deserve a point but they just cannot find a way past the home keeper.

Less than 15 minutes to go. I'm amazed this has stayed 1-0! Here comes Leigh Griffiths as a sub for Wakaso Mubarak. He could find space as Dinamo Zagreb push for a leveller. Mind you, they've been attacking for the whole match.

  20. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:39 British Summer Time 2 October 2014

Leonardo Sigali goes into the referee's book for a sliding challenge on Anthony Stokes that was so late it attracted library fines.
