Bret, Sheffield: Arsenal are closer on points to bottom of the league Burnley than Chelsea.

Rafi, Manchester: Despite also having a woeful defence, Manchester United may actually finish fourth this year by default. I can't see two of Everton, Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool getting their act together and I don't think Southampton will keep their form going for long enough. Louis van Gaal seems to have picked the right season to try and finish in the top four.

  2. Player reactionpublished at 18:01 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2014

Swansea's Ashley Williams: "I'm over the moon. There is nothing better than when you feel like this. Tired out but with the win.

"Jefferson Montero is lightning. He gives us a different dimension and he is another weapon to have. I would hate to play against him.

"The work the manager puts in with us makes it easier when we go on the field. We plan in the week so it is just about executing it on the pitch."

Swansea goalscorer Gylfi Sigurdsson: "At the end we were pushing for it. It was a little bit of luck but we got there in the end.

"It was special to score today because we came back from 1-0 down. It was a fantastic game. It is fantastic to score but it is about winning the game.

"It is a long season. We go into every game trying to get either a point or three points and then we will see where we end up."

Ben: Surely Southampton must get more excited with every Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham and Manchester United result? Arsene Wenger has a huge amount to answer for. Not good enough. He is stuck in 2005.

Dom: , externalArsenal tactics: Give the ball to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, let him do something positive but only earn a corner, nothing happens from it. Repeat.

Jamie Atkins:, external If Arsenal don't genuinely challenge this year, I can see Alexis Sanchez leaving next summer. Manchester City's feeder club.

Brett Mills:, external A lot of plaudits for West Ham and Southampton and rightly so, but my goodness how good have Swansea been! Huge credit to Monk!

Former Arsenal and Wales striker John Hartson
BBC Radio 5 live sports extra at the Liberty Stadium

"The stadium is absolutely rocking here. Defensively Swansea chucked everything at the ball to keep this lead. Arsenal were throwing everything at them in the final moments.

"Swansea created chances and were the busier of the two sides, certainly in the opposition penalty box. Wojciech Szczesny was the busier goalkeeper. Arsenal had spells of good play, but in the first half they were sloppy. It was a brilliant bit of play to take the lead but they have just not defended properly. I'm sure Arsene Wenger will face will criticism after the game because this has been a real lacklustre defensive performance from Arsenal, again."

A bad week for Arsenal, and in particular their defence late on in games. The lights have gone out!

Bob:, external Arsenal eh! Good enough to avoid a relegation battle and will join Liverpool in a mid table battle, the new Stoke.

John:, external Arsenal have conceded more headed goals this season than Southampton have conceded goals. Unbelievable.

Swivel Eyed Broon:, external No wonder Arsenal are currently losing, surely all that rain is a natural advantage to the Swans?

Thanks Swivel-Eyed Broon, we can always make time for an ornithological football pun.
