"Dundee are struggling to get into the match but it is very early in the proceedings."
In Inverness, Chris Erskine strikes with the left foot and hits the post, the ball rebounds and strikes an Inverness player to go out for United's second corner.
At Dens Park, Hamilton have the first sight of goal as Mickael Antoine-Curier matches on to a long ball and drills an effort goalwards, but Dundee keeper Scott Bain makes a fine save.
Not for the first time this season, the Ross County defence parts generously, allowing Callum Ball a sight of goal but the St Mirren striker takes an age to fire off a shot, allowing Scott Boyd to make a block. From the corner, Kenny McLean flashes in a header but the officials had spotted some jiggery-pokery in the box.

St Johnstone appear determined to test new Partick Thistle defender Frederic Frans. Straight from kick-off, Dave Mackay launches a ball high into the rain-soaked Glasgow sky and the big Belgian is a bit uncertain with his header, allowing Brian Graham an opportunity to fire into the side netting.
We're off at St Mirren Park and Ross County striker Yoann Arquin is sporting a pair of gloves. Is that the first sighting of mittens for an outfield player this season? In October?

Matches are kicking off all over the country. Enjoy!
St Johnstone midfielder Murray Davidson decides he doesn't need a sling on his arm for the match against Partick Thistle.
As Tam in Glenrothes states in his text, St Johnstone arrive at Firhill looking to avoid a sixth straight Scottish Premiership defeat. However, if the Saints can match the League Cup victory away to Kilmarnock that interrupted that run, they will leapfrog hosts Partick Thistle into eighth. Indeed, the Perth side haven't lost here in seven visits since a 4-0 thumping in August 2008.
Tam in Glenrothes: "Hoping that St Johnstone end their five game losing streak with a win against Partick Thistle."
Dundee United manager Jackie McNamara ahead of match against Inverness: "Hopefully we can move them about and cause them some trouble with our pace. We have good young players who are ready to push the first team players all the way. They are champing at the bit for opportunities. [ICT manager] John [Hughes] is a great guy. He took a bit of criticism last year and he stuck to his guns. They have beaten Celtic here. We have come here to win it. This is the last game in the first quarter. It's a difficult one."
United are playing a 4-1-4-1 formation today.
Partick Thistle warm up at Firhill where they hope to make it four wins from six at home.
BBC Scotland reporter Clive Lindsay at Firhill
"Partick Thistle have made one change from last week's 1-0 defeat by Dundee United, with new Belgian signing Frederic Frans replacing the suspended Danny Seaborne after the central defender's sending off at Tannadice.
"St Johnstone make two changes after last weekend's home defeat by Kilmarnock, with Frazer Wright replacing Gary Miller in defence and fit-again Chris Millar coming into midfield in place of Scott Brown."
Dundee manager Paul Hartley: "Hamilton are at the top of the table on merit."
Down at the bottom of the table St Mirren play basement side Ross County. The latter have won only one of their 10 league matches this season but they might find some joy in Paisley because the Buddies have lost all five of their league games there this season.
Partick Thistle and St Johnstone are cheek by jowl in the Premiership table. Saints have lost five league games in a row but haven't lost in their last seven matches against Thistle, who are scoring freely at Firhill - 12 so far in five games - but have hit the net just once away from home.
Dundee have yet to win at home this season and you imagine they will have their work cut out to register a victory over league leaders Hamilton. The Accies have won four and drawn one of their five matches on the road so far this term. But it's worth noting that last season in the Championship the Dark Blues were unbeaten in their four meetings against the Lanarkshire side. It has to be a draw, right?
The game of the day has to be Dundee United's visit to Inverness Caledonian Thistle. Jackie McNamara's side are second in the table, just a point off the pace and two ahead of their Highland hosts. They have lost only once in their last half dozen games in Inverness, but Caley Thistle are unbeaten at home in the league under John Hughes this season.
