Aberdeen nudge up a place to fifth in the Premiership, overtaking Celtic, although the champions have played two games less.

What now for Motherwell? Last season's runners-up are a shadow of their former selves. Ross County are the only team in the Premiership with fewer points.

So it's back to winning ways for the Dons thanks to that early strike from Jonny Hayes. It was a pretty dire stuff for the 11,149 crowd but most will go home reasonably pleased with the result.
