Aberdeen lead thanks to an early strike from Jonny Hayes. And that has just about been it, I'm afraid.
Motherwell have threatened from a couple of corners, with Scott Brown looking a bit wobbly between the sticks. Stuart McCall will be hoping to put more pressure on the home keeper after the break.
With five at the back, Motherwell look set up to play for a goalless draw. Do I really need to point out the flaw in this approach?
Josh Law races after a lofted pass into the Aberdeen penalty area but keeper Scott Brown is alert to the danger as we reach the 40th minute.
Aberdeen defender Mark Reynolds does his job, heading a free kick from Jonny Hayes back into the danger zone but no player in red is on the same wavelength and keeper Dan Twardzik is under no pressure at all.

"Motherwell are working hard but they are finding it hard to find space for passes because the sides are matched up. It's not exactly exhilarating from either side."
Dons defender Ash Taylor takes a nice touch with his chest and suddenly thinks he's a midfield maestro, shaping his body for a curler into the opposite top corner from 20 yards, but reality quickly sets in and Dan Twardzik has no trouble gathering the effort.
Motherwell are the lowest scoring side in the league with just six goals so far. The visitors have created nothing from open play this evening. Striker John Sutton has barely touched the ball and Henrik Ojamaa is scurrying around with little purpose.
Willo Flood surges forward as Aberdeen continue to dominate possession and it needs a good sliding intervention from Simon Ramsden to prevent the midfielder's raking pass reaching David Goodwillie on the edge of the penalty box.
Aberdeen are in trouble from a corner kick again as Simon Ramsden rises at the back post and heads over. The Motherwell defender should be hitting the target from there.
Here's a look at that early goal for Aberdeen. It was far too easy for Jonny Hayes to split the Motherwell defence.
Aberdeen goalscorer Jonny Hayes swings a curling cross in from the left and Niall McGinn is first to it, only to scuff his shot wide of the mark from eight yards.
More pressure from Motherwell, with a sequence of corners, and home keeper Scott Brown is staying well back this time. The defenders in red clear up without too much fuss.
Dons keeper Scott Brown fumbles a corner and is a relieved man when Stephen McManus skims a shot over the top of the crossbar following a spot of pinball in the box.
Aberdeen striker David Goodwillie sneaks away from what looks like the back five Motherwell are operating but his low strike from the right of the penalty box is easily gathered by Dan Twardzik.

"I'm still trying to work out the Motherwell formation. You'd think that you would just keep it simple when things aren't going well."
Jonny Hayes is running at the Motherwell defence again and his cute chip from the angle of the penalty area drifts over the top.
Take a bow Jonny Hayes. David Goodwillie prods a pass in the direction of the midfielder and the wee Irishman bursts past a sluggish Stephen McManus to slot the ball under goalkeeper Dan Twardzik.
Motherwell get the game started and immediately hammer the ball out of play...
