We have 10 minutes to go. Surely Motherwell have to start chasing an equaliser.
"I've had better Friday nights at the dentist," jokes former Aberdeen skipper Willie Miller on BBC Radio Scotland.
We have a Motherwell shot on target. I repeat; a Motherwell shot on target. It is, however, not a very good one as Craig Reid's skidding effort from distance is scooped up by Scott Brown.
Barry Robson is on for Aberdeen striker David Goodwillie as Dan Twardzik again looks uncertain, getting only a slight touch on a corner and the ball flicks the hand of Adam Rooney on its way past at the back post.
Motherwell keeper Dan Twardzik flaps at an up-and-under from Jonny Hayes and the ball drops to Shaleum Logan who cannot make space for a shot and is crowded out.
Beetle in Dumfries: "Brother and Sister-in-law have arrived with their wedding DVD. I've snuck upstairs to listen to this match. As a 'Well fan it only just crept in as the least painful option!"
Motherwell skipper Keith Lasley is booked as the crowd appeal loudly for handball. Referee Crawford Allan then gets a real mouthful from visiting manager Stuart McCall.
Dougie Kinnear on Twitter: "6 months on and Motherwell are still taking throw ins and free kicks wherever they want! #bbcsportscot P.S Someone wake up @bbcjimspence It looks like he's lost the will to live over there!"
Spencey will leap into action at full-time to bring us all the post-match interviews.
It's been more than 65 minutes since Aberdeen were celebrating Jonny Hayes' goal. Can we please have another one? Even a shot or two on target would do...
Aberdeen spring a counter attack, with Niall McGinn breaking forward to poke a pass on to David Goodwillie. A few step-overs follow, which only allows more defenders to get back, then the striker blazes a shot over the crossbar from 18 yards.
A Niall McGinn corner ricochets around in the six yard box before popping up invitingly for David Goodwillie but the Dons forward has an awkward swing at it and can only force the ball wide.
Here comes Adam Rooney and it's Peter Pawlett making way for the Aberdeen striker.
Aberdeen striker Adam Rooney is warming up. He has 11 goals this season, although five of those came against Daugava Riga in Europa League qualifying and another three arrived at home to Livingston in the League Cup.
It's very, very quiet at Pittodrie. A decent crowd has had very little to cheer since that second-minute strike from Jonny Hayes.
A host of team-mates gather round Simon Ramsden as we have a break in play but the Motherwell defender is just replacing a contact lense. He does well to get it in first time with so many onlookers.
Aberdeen's Peter Pawlett skips forward and pings a nice pass to Niall McGinn, who clips the ball low into the centre of the penalty box from the right but Shaleum Logan can't get much purchase on his shot and it's an easy save for Dan Twardzik.
Motherwell defender Stephen McManus is the first player cautioned for a wee barge into the back of David Goodwillie when contesting a header.
Just as Motherwell did in the first half, Aberdeen waste no time in hoofing the ball out of play from kick-off.
The teams are back out on the pitch, no changes in personnel to report.
Will Motherwell gaffer Stuart McCall shuffle his pack for the second half? Five at the back is perhaps stifling the Dons but it doesn't look like the best way to find a leveller. Winger Lionel Ainsworth is among the substitutes. Could he make a difference?
