Managing in the Championship is brutal. Just ask the likes of Mark Robins, who parted company with Huddersfield just hours after their 4-0 home defeat to Bournemouth - one game into the campaign.

So, who else is feeling the heat ahead of the weekend?

Former Liverpool defender Sami Hyypia, only appointed Brighton & Hove Albion boss in June, has gone 10 league games without a win. His side are at in-form Bournemouth on Saturday.

And what about Stuart Pearce? It already seems a long time ago since his Nottingham Forest side spent a month at the top of the table. Former England Under-21 manager Pearce takes his team to Huddersfield seeking a first win in eight league games.

If Neil Adams is feeling the heat then he's certainly not letting on.

The man promoted from Norwich youth coach to first-team manager at Carrow Road when Chris Hughton was sacked in April is keeping calm despite seeing his side pick up just three points from the last 15 available.

"The players aren't stupid - they know they're playing well enough to win games, as we've said many, many times," Adams said. "They're as desperate as we all are to turn those performances into winning games, as we feel they merit."

For the record, you have to go back to 26 August to the last time Norwich won in front of their own fans.

So, Darren Huckerby is unsure about games being played on a Friday night. Europe's top leagues have matches on a Friday, while clubs living in the shadows of Manchester United and Liverpool always used to play on a Friday in an effort to attract bigger crowds. Want to know how crazy the Championship is?

Neil Adams has only been in charge at Carrow Road since April yet he is already the 13th longest-serving boss at this level.

Want to know what else is crazy about the Championship?

Norwich can go top if they overcome Bolton Wanderers by a handsome margin. Yet another draw or a defeat and it will be six matches without a win for the Canaries, and Adams will head into November a man feeling the heat.

Fourteen matches into the Championship season and the scramble to win promotion to the Premier League has already resulted in a catalogue of managerial casualties.

November is not yet here but there have already been eleven changes in the second tier since the start of the campaign.

In the past few days alone Birmingham, Leeds United and Blackpool have parted company with their bosses. And there are more managers looking over their shoulders this weekend.

Neil Adams, whose Norwich side are without a win five games, needs three points. Quickly.
