  8. The real magic of the cup?published at 18:54 Greenwich Mean Time 10 November 2014

When we are down to just two teams in the FA Cup in May next year, the managers of the respective sides might well expect the pre-final news conference set up to look something like this...

...that, though, is a world away from news conference at this stage of the competition, where there are no plush media rooms or press conference suites on show at the non-league sides involved, as can be seen below - Braintree boss Alan Devonshire dissecting his side's 6-0 defeat to Chesterfield at the weekend.

We get a few tickets for the races but now we have done this I would love to get United if we can make it to the third round."

Premier League players might expect a few thousand pounds as a cash bonus for doing well in the FA Cup, but Chester players were rewarded for their first-round exploits with a no-expenses spared trip to a chippy.

The Conference Premier side secured a 2-1 win at League Two Southend on Saturday, earning themselves fish and chips for the long journey home from Essex.

"If they hadn't won, we wouldn't have splashed out on the fish," Chester boss Steve Burr told the FA.

The line-up for the FA Cup second round won't be completed after tonight's fixture between Havant & Waterlooville v Preston, with two postponed round one ties and nine replays still to come.

Heavy rain resulted in Weston-super-Mare's fixture against Doncaster Rovers being called off while Mansfield Town's game against Concord Rangers could not go ahead because of a waterlogged pitch.

Those fixtures, plus the nine replays which can be seen above, will take place on Tuesday 18 November.
