With that win Barcelona are back up to second, two points behind Real Madrid. It may not have been a classic, but don't forget Valencia were unbeaten at home this season before the visit of Luis Enrique's side. They dug in and got a potentially vital result in the La Liga title battle.

Unbelievable! Barcleona have done it right at the end as Lionel Messi floats a delightful ball to the far post, Neymar's effort is fantastically saved but Sergio Busquets is on hand to thump in the rebound. What a finish!

Alvaro Negredo, still without a goal for Valencia, goes off and is replaced by forward Paco Alcacer, before the hosts make their final change with Dani Parejo goes off for Filipe Augusto. Six minutes left for someone to find a winner.

All over and Roma reduce the gap between themselves and leaders Juventus back to three points after taking victory in a thrilling encounter.

Last throw of the dice to snatch victory by Barcelona boss Luis Enrique as Xavi and, somewhat surprisingly, Luis Suarez go off with Rafinha on and Pedro Rodriguez taking their place on the pitch.

Roma make sure they take victory in a thrilling encounter as Miralem Pjanic lifts a free-kick over the wall and into the net. Important win after Juventus's last-gasp victory earlier.

A change for Valencia now as the game heads into the last 20 minutes, Rodrigo Moreno is replaced by winger Rodrigo de Paul.

Sofiane Feghouli is then denied at the other end by Claudio Bravo with a powerful low strike. This game has opened up a bit now, and not before time.

Huge frustration again for Luis Suarez as he has a goal ruled out, again deemed to have strayed offside, but I'm not too sure. Suarez turns the ball into the net from Dani Alves's cross-shot but the linesman has his flag raised.

Looks like Javier Mascherno is to drop into defence as Jeremy Mathieu goes off, with attacking midfielder Ivan Rakitic brought on.

Lionel Messi scored a hat-trick in 41 minutes in his last visit to Valencia. He has 25 minutes to work his magic tonight but, on his showing so far, it seems unlikely. It is up to Neymar to have a go at goal instead, but he drags his shot wide from outside the area.

Finally a bit of life to this game as Gerard Pique hacks Rodrigo's low shot off the line after Barcelona had failed to clear a corner. You get the feeling that a solitary goal will decide this match. Very tight.

Close from Luis Suarez! He chases a hopeful ball forward, getting to it before Diego Alves and spins past the Valencia keeper but sweeps his shot into the sidenetting. He slumps to the floor, clutching his face in frustration.
