Bothroyd believes Joe Ralls should be credited with Cardiff's goal: "There's no way for me it's an own goal. If that was me I'd be claiming it all day."

Colchester have played well in five or 10 minute spells, but I think this is a good chance for Cardiff to put into practice some moves that will help their league campaign.
"I think we've done okay. We could still be a bit braver. We have tried to play out, but it's broken down a couple of times."
A nervous start by Cardiff City who seemed to settle after Joe Ralls' strike which culminated in a goal for Cardiff thanks to a double-deflection by Colchester.
But League One strugglers Colchester are far from out of this and have looked lively going forward.

Colchester's Cole Kpekawa was the last player the ball hit before going in, but Ralls' shot seemed to be heading towards goal before the deflections.
