BBC News School Reporters Alex and Sam from Holbrook Academy in Suffolk, who are in the crowd at Portman Road, have not given up on Ipswich's hopes of a winning season just yet.

They say: "Ipswich didn't really show their best to the nation tonight. Onwards and upwards in the league!"

Millwall fan and BBC radio presenter Danny Baker on Twitter: , external"BBC: Millwall part company with Ian Holloway. (This has not happened just yet but I might not be about when it does so cut out & keep, eh?)"

To clarify: Ian Holloway has NOT been sacked. Yet.

Dave in Bedford: Getting a little fed up of the repeated references to the lack of quality shown by Ipswich, and the implication that it somehow reflects so positively on the Premier League versus Championship. How much more has the Southampton squad cost to assemble? £50m to £100m more? In fact aren't Ipswich renowned for having spent next to nothing? And what's the score? Only 0-1 after a replay isn't it? Ipswich may not have created much, but neither have Southampton.

Mick McCarthy is not a happy man - he knows his side have served up a second flat performance inside a week, both at home too. The unforgiving Championship season still has plenty of twists and turns to come, can Mick guide his side back into the top flight?

Lee Allen:, external Can't win really. People complained about an all-Premier League tie losing the 'magic' of the FA Cup so BBC show Championship v Premier League and still people complain!

You never really know what you're going to get with Spurs these days, but the side who rampaged through Chelsea just a few games ago have found their scoring touch after a shocking start to seemingly book a place in round four.

They will be at home to Leicester if they see out the last few minutes without a major shock.

Former Liverpool defender at Portman Road

"Ipswich's set-pieces haven't even been that great tonight. Apart from that offside goal there's not been a real glaring opportunity."

It is a great beard Ian, we are agreed on that. On the field, not so great tonight. At least tickets were only a tenner eh?

George Thorpe:, external Ipswich have lacked a cutting edge, but to be fair Southampton have snuffed out anything in or around their penalty area tonight.

Pippa Jordan:, external Mario Balotelli could learn a thing or two from Shane Long's performance tonight.

Ian Emery:, external The only thing that's impressed me about this match is the beard on the Ipswich goalkeeper.

Yet another head injury at Portman Road, but Shane Long is able to dust himself down. We are into the last 10 minutes.

Dan in Bedford: Make sure you credit the 2,500 Spurs fans who went up to Burnley on the first day back at work as well then.

As comfortable as it gets for Bradford, who now travel to Chelsea in the fourth round. Job very well done.

Tyrone Mings leaves one on Fraser Forster as the keeper claims a bouncing ball. Letting him know he's there.

But Ipswich aren't really letting Southampton know there are there. It's all been a bit tame from the hosts. Most unlike Mick MCCarthy's sides.

Alan Murphy:, external Ok, the other games have goals but Ipswich v Saints is an FA Cup nerve jangler.

Nathan in Birmingham: Jose Fonte has been immense tonight. It's unbelievable he's been promoted twice with Southampton, now he's helping the Saints keeping clean sheets for fun.

Tottenham's wide men have impressed tonight, and substitute Nacer Chadli puts three Burnley defenders on the deck with a mazy run down the left before picking out Etienne Capoue on the edge of the box, This time his drive is well blocked though. Spurs closing in on a place in round four.

    Steve Wilson
BBC Match of the Day commentator at Portman Road

"It's been a disappointing 75 minutes for Ipswich, but there's 15 minutes left to change that. Maybe Southampton will rue the chances to put this game to bed."
