Kuni Poonasamy: Would like to have seen Mario Balotelli included in the squad, not sure why he isn't. I think a recognized striker is needed now.

The perfect man for the job - but the Iceman side-foots wide from 16 yards. He was under pressure, and he wants a corner, but he should really have hit the target.

"We wanted to do this for quite a while and we took a risk in doing it and I'm just pleased that we came through the ups and downs of the game and we are in the hat."

"To get back from Abu Dhabi the night before the game is shocking, I did warm weather breaks when at Blackburn but you always get back 72 hours before, minimum 48.

"Why give people an excuse why they lost? 'Boro were outstanding, and while City would have had first class seats coming back, when you go seven hours away you don't feel great the next day."

Robbie will be venting his spleen on 606 on 5live following the end of Liverpool v Bolton.

"I take all the responsibility for the players performing at that level. We were devoid of ideas and energy and it's probably the worst 45 minutes since I've been here."
