Cambridge United midfielder Tom Champion:, external What a day!! Unbelievable atmosphere! Dream come true to play at Old Trafford.

Cambridge players were told they would have to pay for a new shirt if they swapped shirts with Manchester United counterparts after their FA Cup tie last night. Looks like Champion has found a way around it by getting Michael Carrick's shirt and keeping his own. Well played lad.

  6. Veteran strikeforcepublished at 10:15 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

Liverpool will face a Bolton strike attack of former Red Emile Heskey and ex-Chelsea striker Eidur Gudjohnsen. The combined age of the pair is 73 years - Heskey 37 and Gudjohnsen 36 - and they have played for 19 different clubs over the years. (Talk about experience)

Between them they have scored a total of 311 club goals in their careers - Heskey with 161 and Gudjohnsen on 150 and they'll be hoping to add to them at Anfield later on.

And, if the Merseysiders needed a warning to take the tie seriously, then the stat that the two teams have been drawn together eight times in the FA Cup with the Trotters progressing on six occasions should put them on alert.

  7. Emile Heskey interviewpublished at 10:07 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

You can read BBC Sport chief football writer Phil McNulty's take on events at the Abbey Stadium by clicking this blue bit but here's another snippet from him:

"The chatter about formations that surrounds much of Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal and United's work this season is acting as a figleaf to disguise a more uncomplicated truth about the way their season is unfolding.

"As in recent games such as away to Yeovil Town in the FA Cup third round, the home defeat by Southampton and the win at QPR, United's play has been so laboured as to stand on the verge of slow motion."

  11. Pride of Cambridgepublished at 09:46 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

BBC Sport's man at the Abbey Stadium last night was chief football writer Phil McNulty.

"This carried all the classic ingredients that still makes the FA Cup special - a Premier League giant facing the minnows under lights in grisly weather conditions with potential for an upset," he says in his piece looking back on the night.

"And Cambridge United made a nonsense of their lowly status to fulfil their part of the bargain and give the city known around the world for its university a night when it could take pride in its football team."

As usual for a Saturday morning we've teamed up with The Danny Baker Show on BBC Radio 5 live and one of the topics for discussion this week is: 'Accidentally Finding Yourself Behind The Scenes At A Major Event.'

One caller says he was merrily cycling along before joining a peloton and found himself on the London to Brighton bike ride. He struggled to get out of the group and didn't get back home for nearly two hours. (Hilarious)

  13. 'Everything against us'published at 09:34 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

Manchester United manager Louis Van GaalImage source, Getty Images

Manchester United boss Louis Van Gaal coined the phrase "twitching our ass" prior to his side's game at Cambridge.

It must have been twitching overtime at the Abbey Stadium last night and it's safe to say he wasn't too happy after his moneybags side was held 0-0 by the League two minnows.

"Every aspect of the match is against us," he says. "We have to come here, the pitch is not so good, but that can influence also that you play in another playing style.

"The opponents are always giving a lot more than normally. And defending is always easier than attacking.

"Then you have seen the referee (Chris Foy). It's always the same. Everywhere I have coached these games - and I have coached them also with other clubs - it's always the same."

  14. From doldrums to delightpublished at 09:26 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2015

Just to give you an idea of Cambridge's achievement in holding Manchester United to a 0-0 draw, the Abbey Stadium side only got back in to the Football League this season after a nine-year absence.

But does Cambridge boss Richard Money now believe they can go to Old Trafford and beat United?

"No. I don't, but you never know," he says.

"We've said in the dressing room 'You're going to Old Trafford. Who cares what happens? Just go and enjoy it, soak it in. Whatever happens, happens'.

"This club has been in the doldrums for 10 years, out of the Football League, and suddenly here we are taking everybody back to Old Trafford. It's incredible." (You said it Rich)

Before we get started on today's action, there is only one place to begin and that is with Cambridge United's valiant draw with Manchester United last night.

Yes, the League Two minnows, whose starting XI cost nothing, held a United first XI which was worth £180m to a 0-0 draw to set up a money-spinning replay at Old Trafford.

The Abbey Stadium outfit might be 76 places below their Premier League opponents but Louis van Gaal's side still couldn't find a way through Cambridge's defence. That, my friends, is what you call the magic of the Cup.
