Rochdale left-back Scott Tanser bombs on and goes down - is that a foul? No, says referee Martin Atkinson. It was right in the same spot as the free-kick they scored from. Stoke have finished both halves poorly.

Ex-Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson on BBC Radio 5 live

"Rochdale deserve that goal for their efforts and Rhys Bennett has been their best player. Very good."

  3. Postpublished at 21:37 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January 2015

Right then, just over 10 minutes left of the FA Cup weekend. Can Rochdale, fifth in League One, cause another barnstormer?

"They're a little fortunate in the way that the chance came to them but then Rhys Bennett had a little look and placed it past the keeper.

"But I do feel that's too little, too late."

Start the Madness! No, literally. 'One Step Beyond' booms out at Spotland as a free-kick from the left is not dealt with, twice Stoke fail to clear and Rhys Bennett side-foots into the corner from eight yards out.

Stoke start with a mercurial genius up front from Barcelona and they can't defend set-pieces. What is going on eh?

  6. Postpublished at 21:34 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January 2015

Dale have a free-kick 25 yards out, they roll it to Reuben Noble-Lazarus and he lashes in a drive which dips, dips, dips - but not quite enough and it's on to the roof of the net. Great effort.

Steve Sidwell is booked for a trip on the effervescent Stephen Dawson as Victor Moses comes off to strong applause. Well done Victor.

Charlie Adam is on. Another man who needs to raise it.

James in Twickenham: Wow, if you add the goals scored by our (Chelsea's) players loaned out, we finally have scored as many as Bradford!

  9. CLOSE!published at 21:31 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January 2015

Close! Jonny Walters gets on the end of a poor clearance from Olly Lancashire, he goes for the toe-poke into the far corner, and it's narrowly wide. Inches.

I'm going to go freelance as a sports psychologist. Give Steve Peters a run for his money.

Let's try it again - I reckon Jon Walters could get a goal...

A very professional display from Stoke here. For the last 15 minutes of the first half they looked ragged but they have grabbed control of the match since the break. Victor Moses to the fore.

  14. Postpublished at 21:25 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January 2015

Victor Moses has had a few clubs but has found his form for Stoke tonight.

Can Dale get the best out of one of their man attackers, journeyman Calvin Andrew? The 28-year-old targetman has scored 16 league goals in 218 league games. He's never scored more than four for a club, and he's had 12 of them...

James:, external What a goal by Moses. Hope Dale don't concede many more cause they don't deserve it.

That is Victor Moses' second goal for Stoke and it should see them into the fifth round against Blackburn, where Mark Hughes will come up against one of his old clubs. Maybe they'll break the 6,000 mark for that one.

"That goal came from a great first-time pass from Stephen Ireland which put Victor Moses in the clear. Nobody else in the ground could see that pass."

I've always said about Victor Moses - he's top class.

That is brilliant, running down the left, into the box, beats his man again and then swings a curling strike into the top corner from an acute angle.

Great goal. I take some credit for his turnaround after that earlier pep talk... (see 47 mins)

Ex-Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson on BBC Radio 5 live

"Marko Arnautovic is one of those who just doesn't do it often enough. That's very frustrating. It's worse if you know they can actually do it."

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:17 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January 2015

And here he is. Reuben Noble-Lazarus is on in place of penalty taker Peter Vincenti. Can he bring Dale back from the dead?Stoke instead threaten as Marko Arnautovic whips in a cracking set-piece and Jon Walters flicks a header wide.
