Thibaut Courtois misjudges a high ball and Mario Balotelli picks up on it but he wastes a good opportunity to strike an angled ball into the back of the net, with the keeper off his line.

He's at it again. This time Diego Costa tangles with Steven Gerrard and the two square up to each other. A booking apiece for the ugly spat. Costa's had more fights than Floyd Mayweather this year.

After it all calms down it looks as though a rather composed Costa is almost smirking at Gerrard. Knows what he is doing.
