That's just about it for this evening.

There was drama in Monaco, where Arsenal came so close to overturning their first-leg Champions League deficit.

And there was plenty of drama in the Football League too - with plenty more sure to follow before the end of the season.

    Until next time, goodnight.

So we have new leaders at the top of the Championship as Watford take over at the top as Troy Deeney's brace saw off relegation-threatened Wigan.

They lead Middlesbrough on goal difference after Aitor Karanka's side edged to a 1-0 victory at promotion rivals Derby courtesy of Patrick Bamford's goal against his former club.

Norwich needed a last-gasp equaliser to take a point from a 2-2 draw at Huddersfield - Jamar Loza sweeping home moments after James Vaughan thought he had scored the winner and was sent off after picking up a second yellow card for his celebration.

Play-off chasing Brentford, Ipswich and Wolves all won, while there was another defeat for bottom-of-the-table Blackpool

With top-of-the-table Burton Albion not featuring in tonight's League Two fixtures, it was up to Shrewsbury and Wycombe to maintain the pressure with the former leapfrogging the latter as Shrewsbury enjoyed a resounding 4-1 victory at Morecambe whilst the Chairboys could only manage a draw at home to Accrington.

Despite Cheltenham's entertaining draw with Portsmouth they remain very much in the relegation battle as Tranmere recorded a 2-1 away win at Cambridge, whilst bottom-placed Hartlepool pulled off a vital win against Oxford United.

Carlisle enjoyed a vital win to keep their survival hopes alive with victory at Northampton, whilst Mansfield won 2-1 against Wimbledon, Bury won 1-0 away at York and Dagenham and Redbridge won 2-0 against Plymouth.

Newport carried on their fight for a play-off spot as they overcame rivals Luton 1-0. Stevenage missed the chance to give themselves some breathing room in the play-off places as they played out a goalless draw at Exeter.

What an incredible end to the game. I'm speechless to be honest with you. Two goals and a red card in injury time isn't a bad end to a game, is it?

It ends all square in a match which never really got going at The Den. Milwall have edged ever so closer to safety, with eight points between them and 21st-placed Rotherham, while Brighton stay in 19th.

Remarkable finish at the John Smith's Stadium! Norwich grab a last-gasp equaliser with Jamar Loza coming off the bench to score. It is only his third league appearance for the Canaries but he's in the right place at the right time to score the crucial goal. A miss-hit shot arrives at his feet and he stabs an equaliser in.

Having just received a yellow card for a poorly-timed tackle James Vaughan takes his shirt off in celebration of scoring what he thinks is the winner. Mixed feelings for the striker as he trudges off down the tunnel.

It's all over at Molineux too, with Wolves convincing winners over Sheffield Wednesday.

It could have been better for Kenny Jackett's side who, at one stage, were level on points with the play-off places.

But late winners for Brentford and Ipswich means they remain three points behind.

  12. GOALpublished at 21:43 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2015

Huddersfield's James Vaughan, who made six appearances for Norwich without scoring, is set up by Jacob Butterfield, another ex-Canary, to score what looks like the winner! The defence switched off and left too much space and he side-footed it into the right-hand corner.

Middlesbrough have done it. A textbook away performance from Aitor Karanka's side finished beautifully by Patrick Bamford's solitary goal against his old club.

They have dominated defensively and struck Derby on the counter, and as results stand, move up to second in the table.

Meanwhile, it is a third defeat in five for Derby, who are dropping down the table.

How big could that result be for Brentford? Andre Gray's scrambled winner six minutes from time seals three points for the Bees, who twice had to come from behind.

Big three points for Mick McCarthy's Ipswich. Jay Tabb's goal ends a run of four games without a win and sees them keep pace with those around them in the play-off hunt. Meanwhile, Bolton have now lost their last five away games in all competitions.

Almost a late, late equaliser for Rovers as Tom Cairney volleys inches wide of the post.

You can't say Charlton haven't deserved to take all three points home on the long journey back to south-east London as they have dominated from start to finish. It's not looking good for Blackpool, however, who look doomed already.
