Charlton will definitely be the happier at the break as Chris Eagles' scrappy close-range effort is all that separates the Addicks from Blackpool who look more at home on the pineapple-esque pitch, with the visitors finding it difficult to find a second goal.

  2. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:44 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2015

It's been a hectic first half up and down the country in Leagues One and Two. Aaron Wilbraham and Aden Flint have given Bristol City a commanding lead at half-time over Crewe, whilst Daniel Powell has doubled MK Dons' advantage away at Oldham. Elsewhere, Preston North End are ahead courtesy of Daniel Johnson's thunderous shot from outside the box and a brace from Louis Dodds has put Port Vale 2-1 up against Crawley minuets after Anthony Wordsworth initially levelled for the visitors.

Meanwhile in League Two, call it a Desmond at Fratton Park as Ryan Taylor's close-range header made it 2-2 for Portsmouth after Cheltenham had been a goal in front. As things stand, Wycombe are missing out on the chance to go top of the League Two table, after Accrington drew level at Adams Park on the stroke of half-time. Sam Wood had given the second-placed Chairboys the lead after half an hour, before Terry Gornell tapped in to equalise.

  3. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:41 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2015

We've had the refs' whistles signalling half-time up and down the country in our Championship games. As the players take on their oranges, energy drinks and whatever else the modern footballer needs, here's your scores on the doors in the second tier.

    Blackburn 2-1 Brentford

    Blackpool 0-1 Charlton

    Cardiff 0-1 Bournemouth

    Derby 0-0 Middlesbrough

    Huddersfield 0-0 Norwich

    Ipswich 0-0 Bolton

    Millwall 0-0 Brighton

    Wigan 0-0 Watford

    Wolves 1-0 Sheff Wed

  4. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:41 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2015

Norwich haven't strengthened their promotion hopes yet. The Canaries really should have the lead, and would have if Bradley Johnson had employed more traditional methods of putting the ball over the line early on and Gary Hooper had untangled his feet in the face of an open goal. The Terriers are still very much in this.

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:40 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2015

That Chris Taylor goal on the stroke of half-time separates the sides at the break after Chris Long cancelled out Rudy Gestede's opener.

If it stays this way, Rovers will fancy their chances of gatecrashing the play-offs.

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:38 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2015

BBC Sport's Phil Cartwright at Molineux: "Two bits of brilliance separate the two sides at the moment.

"Nouha Dicko anticipated a misplaced ball superbly on the halfway line and surged into the box with pace, drawing the foul that earned Wolves the penalty, which was converted expertly by Bakary Sako.

"But Wolves needed Tomasz Kuszczak to make a top-class save from Jacques Maghoma's header to send them into the break 1-0 in front."

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:37 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2015

Both sides have had chances, but it's all square at the break. Freddie Sears has been lively up front for Mick McCarthy's men, but Bolton came back into it with Eidur Gudjohnson and Rochinha coming closest for the Trotters.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:37 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2015

It's half-time too at Wigan, but they come close to opening the scoring just before the end of the half, when Liverpool loanee Sheyi Ojo's cross is not cleared properly and drops to Marc-Antoine Fortune, whose chest and volley was hit straight at Heurelho Gomes from 10 yards.

As that awful saying goes, he almost hit that too well....

  9. CLOSE!published at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2015

Terrible miss. Norwich open up the Huddersfield defence. Jonny Howson tees up Gary Hooper inside the penalty area, but the striker fails to make any telling contact with the goal gaping. Poor from the ex-Celtic man.

  10. GOALpublished at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2015

Brentford aren't on level terms for long as Blackburn hit the front right on the stroke of half-time.

Some neat interplay on the edge of the box sees the ball eventually fall to Chris Taylor, who fires an angled shot into the roof of the Bees' net.

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2015

After Jelle Vossen's audacious effort (see 20:28), Derby respond when Cyrus Christie plays a ball into the box just behind Johnny Russell, who tries a backheel, but couldn't convert.

The ref then blows his whistle for half-time soon after.

  12. Postpublished at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2015

Testing times for the Seasiders as the hosts' Miles Addison is lucky to escape a booking after a robust challenge on Morgan Fox.

  13. Postpublished at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2015

Leon Best has twice come close to putting Brighton ahead in their match against fellow strugglers Millwall. Chris Hughton's Seagulls have probably just edged the first half, but have nothing to show for it so far.

  14. GOALpublished at 20:30 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2015

An equaliser for Brentford, and it's probably no more than they deserve.

Chris Long shows good intent to burst into the box and sees his angled shot deflect off Matt Kilgallon and past the helpless Jason Steele.

  15. CLOSE!published at 20:29 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2015

Bolton are growing into this game and 19-year-old midfielder Rochinha, making his debut tonight, plays a one-two with Eidur Gudjohnson before firing a shot just wide.

  16. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:28 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2015

Wow. Jelle Vossen comes ever so close to opening the scoring at the iPro. The Middlesbrough forward saw Derby keeper Lee Grant off his line, so tried a lob from 45 yards, but his incredible effort bounced into the post and gratefully into Grant's hands.

What a let off for Steve McClaren's side!

  17. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2015

Bournemouth have appealed for a penalty after Callum Wilson goes down in the box but the referee waves play on, leaving Cherries boss Eddie Howe unimpressed.

  18. Postpublished at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2015

Wolves have been pushing for a second but are grateful to a fine Tomasz Kuszczak save for keeping them in front after Jacques Maghoma's header caps Wednesday's best move of the match.

  19. CLOSE!published at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2015

Bolton's Icelandic striker Eidur Gudjohnson would expect to score these chances, but the 36-year-old's shot after Bartosz Bialkowski's save is deflected wide.

  20. Postpublished at 20:20 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2015

A real lack of chances to discuss in the game at the iPro Stadium. Both sides seem to be playing within the midfield area, with the course of this match summed up when Derby's Jamie Hanson has a speculative effort from far out which goes wide.
