John Roberts: Chelsea will lose the league on goal difference, whether with Man City or Arsenal.

Mark Oliver: Not a chance. Six points is nothing and the way we've been playing, I wouldn't be too confident in the game in hand!

Ben Hargrave: It's never over until it's over - just remember City winning in 2011-12

Hull boss Steve Bruce talking to BBC Sport: "Really frustrating afternoon you could say, but arguably it's the best we've played since we've been in the Premier League. To respond in the way we did was great, but for me the game hinges on the saves Courtois makes when we're on top.

"We've had the best opportunities and we've had some great opportunities.

"When that chance comes, we've had three goes at it and the keeper's made some great saves, but you have to take those chances against sides like Chelsea.

"It would've been very easy to capitulate after going 2-0 down, but we didn't do that."

Hull manager Steve Bruce speaking to Sky Sports: "You've got to look at the performance first. I think going 2-0 down after nine minutes, you need a response and what a response.

"The players put in a hell of a shift and something like 19 shots on target against a really strong Chelsea team shows we're ready for the challenge ahead.

"I thought we really deserved something for it. For that, we're disappointed, but if we keep playing like that, we'll be fine."

More from Jose Mourinho to BBC Sport: "Thibaut Courtois is a big player. He made a mistake but the important thing was to be there in the second half for the team and he was.

"Our position is our best since the start of the season. The maximum distance we've had is eight points with the same number of matches.

"Now it's six and a match in hand with nine matches to go. After the international break will go back to one match per week, except our game in hand. I believe we can finish the season very strong."

And now Jose Mourinho has been talking to BBC Sport: "I think five goals is what people like. How many times do people complain when there are no goals?

From our side, it was high quality football. When we conceded the two goals we were affected by that. In the last period of the first half we didn't play really well.

"We played fluid, fast, quick and dynamic football. At half-time I told my team to go back to that and play football, rather than focusing on mistakes. And we did that.

"I was going to play Remy and Diego together but Diego was injured so we had to go just for Remy. And even as a lone striker he got the goal.

  8. Manager reactionpublished at 18:11 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March 2015

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, speaking to Sky Sports: "The victory is very, very important obviously, we go back to three points after a draw at home last week.

"The performance was very, very good until 2-0. We lost a bit of quality after their two goals, but in the second-half from minute one, we recovered a good level of football. We deserved the three points."

Adrian Kellers: Well... We got away with that one...

Mark Beedie: Doesn't fill me with confidence. Scraping win against a bottom team. Need to do much better.

James Brandon: Is that a title winning substitution from Jose?

  12. PLAYER REACTIONpublished at 18:01 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March 2015

Hull defender Paul McShane told Sky Sports: "We deserved at least a point. I feared the worst when we went 2-0 down.

"We have to build on this performance. I don't think anyone expected us to get anything from the game but we had belief. We showed some good fight. The lads worked hard and got close to people.

"We have to cause an upset somewhere along the way in the rest of the season."

It's all over in the other game of the afternoon between QPR and Everton.

Everton have edged it 2-1 and that's despite Adel Taraabt hitting the crossbar late-on for QPR. Could be a telling defeat for the home side.

Chelsea striker Loic Remy speaking to Sky Sports: "It's a good moment for me so far as it shows great work from all the team and we're working really hard every day in training to get the results and it's important to get this result.

"It's a great feeling to get the three points. When I was sent on, the manager just told me to get some quality in the final third.

"It's always frustrating when you're on the bench, but I think having me there made the difference today and you have to be ready to fight and to win games, it's simple."

  16. PLAYER REACTIONpublished at 17:57 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March 2015

Goalscorer Eden Hazard to Sky Sports: "It was important after the draw at home against Southampton. We have nine finals left to play - we need to win everything if we want to win the trophy.

"When you play away it's always difficult. Last season this game was difficult.

"Everybody in the squad is important. It's not easy when you're on the bench but Loic Remy is a very good player and important."

"When you get a chance to catch your breath at the end of this, first 15 minutes, Chelsea were superb, for the next half an hour they were the worst they've been this season. In the end, they've edged it and they saw out the end of the game there."

  18. Story of the gamepublished at 17:54 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March 2015

Chelsea led 2-0, but Hull equalised with two in 74 seconds (a record quickfire double for a team this season). The Tigers probably deserved to lead at half-time, but didn't.

Chelsea dominated the second half and won through substitute Loic Remy - although they only had three shots on target in the whole game.
