Hull City go forward again but Thibaut Courtois is able to smother the ball easily.

He has saved three more shots than Allan McGregor, who has conceded the only two efforts Chelsea have had.

McGregor has only touched the ball twice, whereas Chelsea's custodian has had 10 touches.

Richard Elliott: It's an education watching Dawson. Twice showing how not to defend.

A defensive line of Michael Dawson, Alex Bruce and Paul McShane being better by Eden Hazard and Diego Costa, who'd have thought?

"He's made very few, if any, mistakes this season Thibaut Courtois so it has to be something very special to beat him."

Hull striker Dame N'Doye has a go but Thibaut Courtois tips it around the post. I think it might have got a deflection on the way.

From the resulting corner, N'Doye gets his head onto it but it's straight at Courtois, who has made three saves already.

  5. YELLOW CARDpublished at 16:13 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March 2015

Chelsea defender Gary Cahill is booked - as he was in their first meeting this season. This time it's for fouling Dame N'Doye on the edge of the area. A free-kick in a dangerous position...

"I think Harry Kane's annoyed Diego Costa. He wants to get back to be top goalscorer in the Premier league.

"It looked like far too acute an angle and he bends it around the goalkeeper. Sometimes you complain to a keeper in those situations, but I don't think you can there, it's a great finish.

"What a blistering start from Chelsea."

Cesc Fabregas plays the ball out left to Diego Costa, he runs about 30 yards unopposed and then curls it past defender Michael Dawson and keeper Allan McGregor.

Just like the old days (ie before Christmas).

Hull City are certainly having a go - Jake Livermore tries to set up another attack but his ball goes through to keeper Thibaut Courtois.

Steve Bruce would have been quite happy with this start if they hadn't conceded...

Matt Niman: Courtois deserves no credit for that, Hernandez has smacked that at him, why not put it in corner? Goal if he does.

Shohidur Rahman: Not a good save. Terrible finish from Hernandez, hit it straight at Courtois.

"Branislav Ivanovic was complaining to his team-mates there about what was going on, but he played them onside by a mile and Thibaut Courtois was brilliant there. Kept himself big and denied Hernandez.

"He should have taken it around the goalkeeper there and had the belief to take him on."

Abel Hernandez, this is 1-1 surely - David Meyler plays a long ball forward, which Dame N'Doye flicks on with his head. Hernandez is kept onside by Branislav Ivanovic and he charges towards goal but Thibaut Courtois makes himself big and saves the shot with his chest. Huge let-off for Chelsea - Hull should be level. Will they get a better chance in the remaining 84 minutes?

Mungo Russell: On his weaker side, outside the box, surrounded by three... not a problem for Eden Hazard. What a hit.

Naveed Afzal: UNSTOPPABLE EDEN HAZARD. Player of the season, without a doubt.

Hull come straight up the other end Gaston Ramirez tries to slip in his fellow Uruguayan Abel Hernandez, but he's offside and it didn't make it through to him anyway.

"The first chance and Chelsea have scored before Hull have really had control of the ball. It's been all Chelsea right from the off. I said they'd want to start really, really quickly and that's how they've started.

"From Hull's position, why are you giving Eden Hazard that sort of space?"

What a player - it's the first bit of action of the game and Diego Costa lays the ball off to Eden Hazard 35 yards from goal, the Belgian has a little dribble and then smashes the ball across Allan McGregor just inside the far post.

  17. KICK-OFFpublished at 16:00 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March 2015

Chelsea's Spain duo Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa get us under way.

Their dominance of the league hasn't been what it was earlier this season.

"I'd say Chelsea are favourites for the title. Man City have been weaker, but Arsenal are improving. But, Chelsea haven't been anywhere near their best since the Swansea game and I think tricky games like this could prove difficult for Chelsea. Nobody will be complacent at the club."
