Ben, Kent: Barca still play tiki taka as well as under Pep, and now they have the added weapon of lethal counter attack.

Rob, London: I don't understand why Barcelona or Madrid always have average defenders and superstar attacking players, you can score all the goals in the world but if your defence is bad you'll always concede too. It's a bit like having the best heating in the world but having no roof on your house!

My favourite suggestion thus far Stuart, even if it isn't technically right as Rory is no longer in the Prem.

The biggest criticism you can level at Barca is the lack of apparent Plan B. Delap to Crouch, that's what they're missing.

George: Harry Kane has scored more then both Benzema and Suarez this season. Just saying.

Tim, Manchester: Chelsea's number one goalkeeper Courtois and his deputy Cech could easily walk into the first 11 of either Barcelona or Real Madrid.

Stuart, Harrogate: I'm sure Barca could benefit from Rory Delap's long throws.

    Barcelona v Real Madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 30 in 24 league appearances; Lionel Messi 32 in 27.

Remember when one-in-two was a brilliant ratio?

"It's a blustery old day in Barcelona - my afternoon beach trip was even rudely cut short by the wind. Shouldn't be too much of a factor down on the pitch considering the bowl design of the stadium, but the corner flags are having a fair old flutter."

That breeze will play havoc with these sides' hoofing style eh Andy?

Everywhere you look on the pitch there are some potentially brilliant individual battles.

Lionel Messi v Marcelo: Home win.

Dani Alves v Cristiano Ronaldo: Away win

Andres Iniesta v Isco: Score draw. Football's the winner

    Spanish La Liga

A quick reminder on what's at stake tonight then. Barca lead La Liga by a point after a fine run of form which has seen them win nine of their last 10.

Real have 'only' won three of their last six league games and boss Carlo Ancelotti can feel the sack breathing down his neck. Two years in the Bernabeu dugout practically qualifies you for a testimonial anyway.

Just remember, Atletico Madrid won the league last season. A phenomenal achievement.

Could any Premier League players get into these Barcelona and Real Madrid sides?

Ashvath: Hector Bellerin would make either side in a few years, immense talent.

Mohamed Khalaf: Yaya Toure can fit into the Barcelona side and Aguero into the Madrid side, Benzema can be a little inconsistent at times.

Ian Simpson: Schneiderlin could play for any of the big teams

I'm sure Yaya Toure tried that

"Resounding chants of "Messi, Messi, Messi" from the home fans...and he isn't even out to warm up yet. I have a feeling they might have been directed at Cristiano Ronaldo, who is."

As we discuss the weaknesses - or lack of - in the sides tonight, here's who is not starting for various reasons.

Barcelona: Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Sergio Busquets, Xavi, Pedro, Rafinha, Adriano, Thomas Vermaelen.

Real Madrid: Raphael Varane, Fabio Coentrao, Sami Khedira, James Rodriguez, Javier Hernandez, Alvaro Arbeloa, Keylor Navas, Jese, Asier Illarramendi.

Real have got some squad eh?

Could any Premier League players get into these Barcelona and Real Madrid sides?

Shohan Sen, from Kent: Never been convinced by Rakitic personally. I think David Silva would slot into the Rakitic role at Barca with ease.

We're discussing which Premier League players would get into the sides from tonight. Keep them coming.

So far we seem to have a consensus that David De Gea is nailed on to get a game for either side, with Thiabuat Courtois also in contention.

Jeremy Mathieu and Dani Alves appear to be your weak links in the Barca side, with a fair few not fancying Neymar much. Their suggested replacements are Seamus Coleman, John Terry and Eden Hazard.

For Real, Karim Benzema replaced by Sergio Aguero? Aguero is certainly a good enough player but would he suit that system?

Xavi has become a bit-part player for Barca this season, maybe the mercurial Andres Iniesta will be the next to fade away.

Time catches up with us all. Iniesta is only 30 but is he on the way down?

"Fancy another sub-plot? Andres Iniesta, such a brilliant player for Barca over so many years and Spain's World Cup goalscoring hero in 2010, has not scored a goal or been credited with an assist in La Liga all season. Ready Andres?"

Sam: George Boyd would march straight into either line-up.

Barcelona have painstakingly laid out 98,000 cards for the fans to hold up before kick-off tonight. Here's what it is meant to look like. Impressive, most impressive.

It's no Dortmund in midweek though is it? Theirs was practically animation...

Could any Premier League players get into these sides?

Carlos Jenzen: Only defenders, maybe Seamus Coleman, but that's about it. Benchwarmers the rest.

Enyine Kofi: Think Messi, Ronaldo, Isco, Xavi, Iniesta cannot be replaced. But the rest can by most players from the Premier League

Daniel Hughes: Hazard in for Bale - all round better player and would get the Real Madrid fans off their seats every time.

    Are you sure Enyine? Really?
