  1. HALF-TIMEpublished at 18:03 British Summer Time 3 April 2015

Freddie Sears' early strike is enough to give Ipswich the advantage and move into the Championship top six as things stand. Bournemouth have dominated for the majority though and will fancy rescuing at least a point from this after the break. The visitors need a win to return to the top of the league though.

"Bournemouth really do play some lovely stuff. There's a fantastic understanding between their players up front, and brilliant movement. But they haven't won here since January 1990. I think they've only played twice, but still."

  3. Postpublished at 18:01 British Summer Time 3 April 2015

Bournemouth keep pressing as we enter first half injury time. They just can't find the final touch though. Two minutes of injury time.

  4. GREAT SAVE!published at 18:00 British Summer Time 3 April 2015

Bartosz Białkowski is at it again. This time the Ipswich stopper dives to his right to keep out Matt Ritchie's low 20-yard drive. A frustrating half for the visitors, who have looked good.

  5. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 17:59 British Summer Time 3 April 2015

Luke Varney is screaming for handball against Tommy Elphick inside the penalty area as he attempts to pull the ball back from the bye line. You'll be lucky Luke. The ball clearly hits the Bournemouth defender's stomach.

Bartosz Białkowski again keeps Ryan Fraser out. A bit more luck about this effort though as Fraser's left-wing cross is horribly mishit but almost loops into the top corner. The Ipswich goalkeeper just about retreats to tip the ball over.

"Wonderful play from Bournemouth, very good link-up play to find Ryan Fraser free on the left. I think he maybe should have hit that one first time, but it was an excellent save by Bartosz Bialkowski nonetheless."

  8. GREAT SAVE!published at 17:54 British Summer Time 3 April 2015

Brilliant by Ipswich goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski. The ball is worked across to Ryan Fraser on the left side of the penalty area but his stinging drive is parried away by the diving stopper. The Cherries will feel they have done enough to be level.

"This game really has flown by. It's been a cracking game of football so far. Even though Ipswich lead, Bournemouth are looking very comfortable on the ball, playing lovely little triangles, and have good movement up front. You'd think it's only a matter of time before they get a goal, but Ipswich are defending well."

  10. Postpublished at 17:52 British Summer Time 3 April 2015

A teasing cross from top scorer Daryl Murphy is headed away for an Ipswich corner. Can they get a second? No, a poor delivery by Teddy Bishop is headed clear.

  11. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 17:50 British Summer Time 3 April 2015

Brett Pitman is a busy man. This time he goes down after a tangle of legs with Ipswich's Cole Skuse on the edge of the penalty area. Never a penalty.

  12. CLOSE!published at 17:48 British Summer Time 3 April 2015

A chance out of nothing for Brett Pitman. Ipswich's Teddy Bishop is one relieved man as the striker shoots straight at goalkeeper Bartosz Białkowski from inside the penalty area after a shocking pass backwards by the midfielder. Pitman should do better.

  13. Postpublished at 17:45 British Summer Time 3 April 2015

Freddie Sears' all-action style and pace is causing Bournemouth problems. The Cherries are looking a little shaky at the back at the moment.

"The pitch here at Portman Road was heavily watered before kick-off, and it's playing very fast and very furious, hence the pace of his match. There have also been a few slips - Bournemouth's Harry Arter being the latest to lose his footing. It looked like he was on water skis."

  15. Postpublished at 17:44 British Summer Time 3 April 2015

The Ipswich fans are in good voice while Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe looks a tad worried on the sidelines. No panic yet though.

  16. YELLOW CARDpublished at 17:41 British Summer Time 3 April 2015

Some nice possession from the visitors before Luke Chambers is booked for a late - a very late - challenge on Ryan Fraser. The Ipswich man is cautioned, despite his somewhat hopeful protests. Bournemouth free-kick 25 yards out. but Matt Ritchie's cross is cleared.

  17. Postpublished at 17:38 British Summer Time 3 April 2015

Freddie Sears has scored five goals since signing for Ipswich from League One Colchester in January and he is proving a real handful this evening. Only a desperate recovery tackle from Steve Cook prevents him from cutting in from the right. The hosts are getting on top.

  18. Postpublished at 17:35 British Summer Time 3 April 2015

A slight lull after a hectic opening. Ipswich looking more than up for this, knowing a win moves them into the play-off positions.

  19. Postpublished at 17:32 British Summer Time 3 April 2015

And the net is almost found straight away as Freddie Sears flicks on for the hosts but Luke Varney can't keep his shot down. End-to-end stuff here.

  20. Postpublished at 17:30 British Summer Time 3 April 2015

Another chance for Bournemouth but Callum Wilson's weak shot is blocked after finding himself in space inside the penalty area. There are more goals in this. Promise.
