  1. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:27 British Summer Time 14 April 2015

Atletico midfielder Mario Suarez will miss the second leg, he's booked and will now be banned.

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:25 British Summer Time 14 April 2015

Fernando Torres time. They still love him at the Calderon and he gets a massive reception as he replaces Koke. Can Nando find another famous Atleti goal?

  3. Postpublished at 21:23 British Summer Time 14 April 2015

What a run! The bearded Arda Turan has the ball out on the right, and like an inverse Ricky Villa he dribbles through two or three white shirts, into the area and his pass to Koke is just undercooked. Sensational feet though. Atleti have a long throw and Diego Godin swivels to shoot over the bar.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth BaleImage source, AP

Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo are playing up front for Real now. Decent pedigree there. Sergio Ramos involved in another dust-up as sub Raul Garcia is booked. Ramos is too finally.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:19 British Summer Time 14 April 2015

Change for the hosts, but it's not Mario Mandzukic coming off but Antoine Griezmann, Raul Garcia coming on. Enforcer for magician.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:17 British Summer Time 14 April 2015

Isco on for Karim Benzema. Very unfortunate not to keep his place, Isco. He's had a belter of a season. Benzema will be thinking that he should have had a shot instead of passing a few minutes ago. And he'd be right too.

  7. Postpublished at 21:16 British Summer Time 14 April 2015

After a tense 10-minute spell it's all opening up again, big holes in midfield from both sides. Neither team getting a hold of the game. Time for one more chance?

    Mario MandzukicImage source, AP

Atletico Madrid need to get Mario Mandzukic off before he gets sent off. Another swinging arm in the direction of Dani Carvajal. Lucky not see another yellow card there. Ever since he was clattered by Sergio Ramos he's been out for vengeance like a Tarantino character.

Jamie Bolton: Brendan Rodgers, after missing the rescue crew he would bang on about the positives and how it would improve us for the future.

John McEnerney: Darren "Sick Note"Anderton no matter what he'd injure himself, waking up, walking, sunstroke, the bends etc. He'd be useless

So untidy! A right old stramash inside the area as Karim Benzema somehow passes to Cristiano Ronaldo when the ball fell to him 15 yards out. Shoot man!

Ronaldo sees his shot blocked under pressure, and Gareth Bale has the third swing at it but also hits an Atleti defender.

The real chance was for Benzema. A great chance!

Still a cracking noise inside the Calderon. It's anyone's game now. Real's early fluency has been stemmed somewhat. They've only had 56.7% of possession in the second half - down from 64% in the first.

Under half an hour to go of the first leg. After 10 or 15 minutes I would have predicted a shed load of goals but a combination of poor finishing, brilliance from Jan Oblak and a lack of cutting edge from Atletico leaves us poised at 0-0.

Fernando Torres to come on and win it?

    Arda TuranImage source, AFP

Arda Turan flights in a good ball from the right but Guillherme Siqueira alms his shot into the back of Gareth Bale. In the background, Dani Carvajal threw a punch at Mario Mandzukic after a lengthy tussle! He got away with one there. Mandzukic's head is all over the place. An emotional wreck.

The tempo has died down now, Atleti maybe starting to see 0-0 as a good result. It's a slower watch but still a very high standard.

Mario Mandzukic needs more treatment on that cut face. You can understand his anger, he thinks Sergio Ramos has done him.

You don't save those. Arturo Vidal slams into the roof of the net and it's advantage Juve.

Harry Partridge: John Barnes, in case he started singing to pass the time

Nathan C J Hood: Arsene Wenger, as his excuse for everything, including missing the rescue crew, is 'I didn't see it'.

  20. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:58 British Summer Time 14 April 2015

As predictable a yellow card as you can get. Mario Mandzukic's head has gone, he comes back on after some work in the corner on that cut and immediately flails an arm in the face of Sergio Ramos. Yellow.
