Penalty to Burnley in the vital match at the bottom against Leicester. Matt Taylor, making his first start since August, hits the outside of the post with his spot-kick. It is a day of missed penalties. And costly ones at that.

Some panic for QPR fans as Stewart Downing looks to be clean through. But some excellent work from Robert Green, acting as a deep-lying sweeper see him sprint off the line and then win a sliding challenge 35 yards from goal. Still goalless.

  3. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:12 British Summer Time 25 April 2015

Carlton Cole is used to coming on as a substitute. It is the 16th time this season he has come off the bench. He replaces Matt Jarvis in West Ham's first change of the day.

Wonderful from Robert Green. Aaron Cresswell's 25-yard free-kick zooms over the wall but the keeper gets a hand to it and pushes it up. The ball then hits the top of the crossbar and on to safety.

The goalkeeper was criticised after a poor clearance let in Chelsea's Cesc Fabregas to score the winner in QPR's last game, but he showed his class then.

An early chance in the second half. The ball falls to ex-West Ham striker Bobby Zamora but his weak volley is straight at Adrian, and it is easy for the Hammers goalkeeper.

"Sam Allardyce won't want to finish the season the way they have been playing in recent weeks. They've had a decent chance and have made a good start."

"QPR need a big half-time team-talk. They missed the best opportunity to go in with the lead, but they have not created too many other chances. One big incident really. Adrian with the save from Charlie Austin's penalty."

The Hammers were fourth on Christmas Day. Unfortunately for West Ham, that is as good as their season is going to be. But they could still finish eighth. And surely that would be seen as a good season.

West Ham full-back Carl Jenkinson is next to try his luck. But shoots over the bar. Well over.

Some rare action for Robert Green. He dives on to Kevin Nolan's shot after the returning West Ham skipper beat Richard Dunne to create some space, but his 20-yard shot lacked power and was easy for the R's goalkeeper.

The Earl is not happy. And his mood nearly got worse. The ball finds Matt Phillips at the edge of the box and his half volley would have called Adrian into action, but luckily for the West Ham goalkeeper, the ball bounces off QPR frontman Bobby Zamora and deflects just wide.

The Earl of Jeffs: If West Ham keep playing like this, QPR will still get all three points.

  20. CLOSE!published at 15:32 British Summer Time 25 April 2015

Matt Phillips drags a shot wide from the edge of the area, but the West Ham fans and players are not happy that Phillips continued as Enner Valencia was lying on the ground after a challenge. But there was no whistle from Mike Jones and Phillips played on.
