Defeat for Lazio means their place as Rome's leading club is under threat. Neighbours Roma can leapfrog them into second place by beating fourth-bottom Atalanta tomorrow.

Carlos Tevez should be smiling though - his team are now a whopping 15 points clear of their nearest rivals. The Old Lady can almost smell the cleaning polish on their fourth successive Scudetto.

Huge cheers around the Juventus Stadium as the full-time whistle is heard. Opening goalscorer Carlos Tevez is embraced by his team-mates - but he can't quite manage to crack a smile.

Lazio almost halve the deficit as Giorgio Chiellini's miskick allows Lazio striker Felipe Anderson to pounce. But Gigi Buffon comes to the rescue of his long-time colleague, saving Anderson's low shot with his legs.

And now the Juventus fans are cheering even louder - because young Lazio midfielder Danilo Cataldi is given his marching orders. Cataldi cyncially swipes away the legs of Carlos Tevez as the Argentine tears away from him near the halfway line. Sending off? Not in my eyes. Booking? Would have been sufficient.

The home fans are finding their voices as Juventus edge towards victory and a 15-point cushion over their nearest rivals.

And trying to latch on to Carlos Tevez's pass is Arturo Vidal's last piece of the action. Presumably with one eye on the midweek Champions League fixture against Monaco, the Chilean is sacrificed for Stefano Sturaro.

The clock ticks down into the final 10 minutes as Juve striker Carlos Tevez, who has been rather quiet since the break, tries to make something happen. But he can't work enough space for a shot, then overhits a pass intended for team-mate Arturo Vidal.

Couple more touches of the ball for Juve keeper Gigi Buffon, who is the busier of the two goalkeepers. However, the Italy veteran has not really been fully stretched.

Lazio are trying to make a fist of this match, winning a left-wing corner as they attempt to set up a humdinger of a finale. But they must do better with their set-pieces than this. The delivery fails to beat the first man and Juve regain possession.

Just under 20 minutes to go in Turin, and Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri decides to give the ageing legs of Andrea Pirlo a rest. The Italy veteran trudges off, with Roberto Pereyra stepping into his place.

The rain is lashing down in Turin now as Lazio continue to press for a foothold in this game. Lucas Biglia tries his luck from distance and Juve keeper Gigi Buffon takes no chances with the greasy ball, palming down into the ground before recovering at the second attempt.
