No room for any slip ups from Real as they look to close the gap to Barcelona at the top of La Liga to two points. Game on.
Italian Serie A
It looks like Juventus might have to wait for that title. Lazio have taken an early 2-0 lead at home to Parma, through goals from Marco Parolo and Miroslav Klose. A Lazio win means Juventus will still need a point even if they beat Fiorentina.
Parma's relegation will be confirmed if Atalanta better their result. They are drawing 0-0 at Cesena, so as it stands Parma are down.
We could see history made at the Bernabeu this evening. Sixteen-year-old Martin Odegaard will become the youngest ever Real Madrid player if he gets on.
Belete Eshetea:, external How many beautiful goals James Rodriguez scored? I think this could go the best of the season.
Joss Bellamy:, external Real are a notch below last year's spell but still a force to be reckoned with.. Don't write them off just yet.
Italian Serie A
Juventus will be hoping to seal their fourth consecutive Serie A title this evening. They know if they beat Fiorentina and Lazio fail to defeat Parma, the title is theirs with five games to go. Just under way in Italy.
Real Madrid have been pretty awful but, when you have players like James Rodriguez, you always have a chance. A moment of magic brings a dull half to life. Barcelona watch out, Real are coming...
Well, turgid until then anyway.
What. A. Strike. James Rodriguez latches on to Angel Trujillo's weak header and fires a stunning first-time volley over goalkeeper Ruben and into the back of the net. Unstoppable.
Remember his World cup volley against Uruguay? This wasn't too far off it.
Can Almeria hold on until half time? Into the last three minutes of the half and goalkeeper Ruben has been a relative spectator. Turgid stuff from the hosts.
Cristiano Ronaldo waves his arms at anyone who is interested as another cross from the right flies over his head. Real are getting worse rather than better. Hairdryer time for Carlo Ancelotti.
German Cup
A disastrous start for third tier Arminia Bielefeld in the German Cup semi-final as Max Arnold fires their Bundesliga opponents Wolfsburg into the lead. Borussia Dotmund await the winner.
This has been sloppy stuff by the hosts so far. There is no fluency, no tempo and no real urgency. You get the feeling they just expect the win to happen and Almeria are doing their best to surprise them.
Barcelona were 4-0 up by this stage last night...
Here goes Cristiano Ronaldo again. A free kick from the left, 25 yards out, but not much cop this time.
A real anti climax from Ronny there as the ball flies into the crowd.
German Cup
They are under way in the German Cup semi-final, where third tier Arminia Bielefeld are looking to upset Bundesliga Wolfsburg. We will let you know if anything happens.
Head down, a few steps back, a slight off centre stance. Cristiano Ronaldo ambles up to the ball and completely bamboozles goalkeeper Ruben. Fortunately for the Almeria stopper the ball ends up on the top of the net.
Tonight we're asking for your example of football wonderkids - whether their star has already waned or whether they're sure to be the next big thing.
Graham, King's Lynn: I can't think of wonder kids without the name Tonton Zola Moukoko springing to mind!
I, Rob: There was a kid at Barca called Messi who had a stormer against Chelsea in 2005. Wonder what happened to him?

Here's a chance though. James Rodriguez is floored 30 yards out...
Free-kick to Real and Cristiano Ronaldo is pacing it out...
A stunning low cross from the right by Jese. The forward looks to be running down a blind alley but manages to flash a fierce ball across the face of goal.
Cristiano Ronaldo and James Rodriguez are caught standing there admiring themselves and the chance is gone.
Almeria are turning on the style. Tomer Hemed twists and turns in the penalty area, pulls the ball back to Verza but, just 18 yards out, he horribly scuffs the ball wide.
Blame the bobble there son.
The hosts are beginning to look a little frustrated. Almeria have a free-kick in a dangerous position some 30 yards from goal on the right touchline. Chance gone though as Mane's touches the ball wide.
There is an expectant air around the Bernabeu this evening. Kind of like when the school's star athlete pitches up for sportsday and believes he just has to go through the motions.
Real are very much just going through the motions at the moment. They need to pick this up...
