  1. FULL-TIMEpublished at 00:01 British Summer Time 27 April 2015

Not a great advert for Major League Soccer, if I'm honest. Too many fouls, very little quality. Let's hope Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard can bring a touch of class when they arrive at their respective clubs in the summer. Many thanks for your company.

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 00:01 British Summer Time 27 April 2015

There's seconds left and LA Galaxy make a late change. Midfielder Rafael Garcia is on for goalscorer Bradford Jamieson. Garcia will do well to touch the ball.

  3. Postpublished at 23:58 British Summer Time 26 April 2015

Four minutes of added time. Does anyone want to win this?

  4. Postpublished at 23:58 British Summer Time 26 April 2015

Memo to Steven Gerrard: Stock up on shin pads. You are going to need them.

  5. Postpublished at 23:56 British Summer Time 26 April 2015

Discipline? What discipline? The foul count has gone through the roof. Another needless foul results in another Red Bulls free-kick. Felipe whips it into the danger area but Mike Grella is not quick enough to divert it over the line.

  6. Postpublished at 23:53 British Summer Time 26 April 2015

Long ball pumped forward into the Red Bulls half. Bradford Jamieson gallops forward but he can't get past Matt Miazga. Three minutes of normal time remaining.

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 23:51 British Summer Time 26 April 2015

Yellow card count rises to six after two double quick cautions. Galaxy's Robbie Rogers goes into the book for a foul on Dane Richards before Omar Gonzalez gets a yellow as New York set up a free-kick which Sacha Kljestan blasts into the stands.

  8. Postpublished at 23:47 British Summer Time 26 April 2015

Ten minutes remaining. The Red Bulls have come alive. Have they saved their best for last?

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 23:47 British Summer Time 26 April 2015

Dane Richards comes on for Sal Zizzo for the Red Bulls. That's the same Dane Richards who made two appearances for Burnley two years ago.

  10. Postpublished at 23:44 British Summer Time 26 April 2015

Clearly no love lost between these two teams. Dax McCarty has already been booked when he catches Galaxy's Gyasi Zardes late. Red card? The referee isn't interested. McCarty can count himself fortunate.

  11. CLOSE!published at 23:41 British Summer Time 26 April 2015

A chance! Bradley Wright-Phillips makes room for himself inside the Galaxy area but his stinign effort is brilliantly kept out by Jaime Penedo. That's got the home fans out of their seats.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 23:39 British Summer Time 26 April 2015

Change for LA Galaxy as one veteran replaces another - Edson Buddle on for Alan Gordon.

  13. Postpublished at 23:37 British Summer Time 26 April 2015

Twenty minutes remaining. Very much a game in the balance. Who wants this more?

The Professional Footballers' Association awards have been handed out today. And there's a Major League Soccer link.

Steven Gerrard, who is joining LA Galaxy this summer, and New York City FC-bound Frank Lampard shared the PFA Merit award.

Find out who won what here.

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 23:35 British Summer Time 26 April 2015

One Leeds United old boy replaces another as Lloyd Sam makes way for Mike Grella.

  16. YELLOW CARDpublished at 23:34 British Summer Time 26 April 2015

Dax McCarty picks up the fourth booking of the match after a cynical challenge on Bradford Jamieson.

  17. Postpublished at 23:32 British Summer Time 26 April 2015

Felipe lets fly from long range after spotting keeper Jaime Penedo off his line but it's high and very wide. Pretty much sums up the match...

  18. Postpublished at 23:30 British Summer Time 26 April 2015

Could that be the turning point? Moments before the equaliser Galaxy went so close to doubling their lead, Gyasi Zardes beating Chris Duvall to whip in a pin-point cross but Alan Gordon could not keep his header down.

  19. GOALpublished at 23:24 British Summer Time 26 April 2015

Astonishing! Out of the blue the Red Bulls are level as Felipe scores. The Brazilian knows very little about it as the ball cannons off him into the net from close range. It's scruffy, it's scrappy but the home crowd have come alive.

  20. Postpublished at 23:22 British Summer Time 26 April 2015

Disjointed, tetchy...this game is crying out for a moment of quality. Galaxy seem content to sit on their lead. There is absolutely no sign of an equaliser from Red Bulls.
