Long ball pumped forward into the Red Bulls half. Bradford Jamieson gallops forward but he can't get past Matt Miazga. Three minutes of normal time remaining.

Yellow card count rises to six after two double quick cautions. Galaxy's Robbie Rogers goes into the book for a foul on Dane Richards before Omar Gonzalez gets a yellow as New York set up a free-kick which Sacha Kljestan blasts into the stands.

Ten minutes remaining. The Red Bulls have come alive. Have they saved their best for last?

Dane Richards comes on for Sal Zizzo for the Red Bulls. That's the same Dane Richards who made two appearances for Burnley two years ago.

Clearly no love lost between these two teams. Dax McCarty has already been booked when he catches Galaxy's Gyasi Zardes late. Red card? The referee isn't interested. McCarty can count himself fortunate.

A chance! Bradley Wright-Phillips makes room for himself inside the Galaxy area but his stinign effort is brilliantly kept out by Jaime Penedo. That's got the home fans out of their seats.

Steven Gerrard, who is joining LA Galaxy this summer, and New York City FC-bound Frank Lampard shared the PFA Merit award.

Could that be the turning point? Moments before the equaliser Galaxy went so close to doubling their lead, Gyasi Zardes beating Chris Duvall to whip in a pin-point cross but Alan Gordon could not keep his header down.

Astonishing! Out of the blue the Red Bulls are level as Felipe scores. The Brazilian knows very little about it as the ball cannons off him into the net from close range. It's scruffy, it's scrappy but the home crowd have come alive.

Disjointed, tetchy...this game is crying out for a moment of quality. Galaxy seem content to sit on their lead. There is absolutely no sign of an equaliser from Red Bulls.
