  1. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:29 British Summer Time 5 May 2015

That's a brilliant move! Dani Carvajal robs Patrice Evra right by the corner flag and Real Madrid ping it quickly across the width of the pitch, the ball going through James Rodriguez, Toni Kroos and Marcelo before the Brazilian picks out Isco on the overlap. Isco drives into the box on the left, looks up and fires in a head-high cross for James to meet. The Colombian gets there - and heads against the crossbar. He should score, he was a few yards out...

Jake Pincombe: Carlos Tevez looks every inch a world class footballer. Unbelievable Manchester United didn't think he was good enough way back when.

Jack of All Trades: Enjoying watching the two teams that used to give nightmares to a Man Utd fan in Europe back in the late '90s early '00s.

Max Harrison: To be fair the best English team made it to the semi-finals... the referee and his assistants.

Andrea Pirlo has made 30 passes so far. Only Arturo Vidal (33) has made more for Juve - but he's not hurt Real with any of them yet.

"The goal has changed the attitude of both sets of players on the pitch. Now it's quite equal. What has surprised me is that Andrea Pirlo hasn't had much of an influence just yet. Those killer passes into full-backs running on, or into pockets of space behind the defence, we haven't seen many of those just yet."

The Premier League is a poorer place without Carlos Tevez. A cracking player. He gets Juve moving again, dropping into pockets and giving Sergio Ramos a torrid time in that anchor role.

Marcelo's passing has been poor tonight, really poor. He gives it away under no pressure and Claudio Marchisio shoots wide from 25 yards as Juve counter. England fans will remember him hitting an altogether sweeter strike in the humidity of Manaus. That feels an incredibly long time ago doesn't it?

"Before the goal Real had just come back into it. Juventus seemed to have stepped off the gas a little and maybe they couldn't sustain that high-pressure start. It was an easy goal for Cristiano Ronaldo but we've got one hell of a game on our hands here now."

Niche chat that Mahesh. This is the place for it.

Juventus need to settle down, they were on top for 25 minutes there. And Carlo Ancelotti knows it, he's shouting out to his players on the sideline.

Mark Adamson: Good to see Ronaldo run over to James to thank him for that assist...

Mahesh: Don't know if Ronaldo is celebrating scoring or just happy Alvaro Arbeloa wasn't there to take the goal from him.

Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez and Cristiano Ronaldo have found each other's wavelength now. The Colombian finds the Welshman with an incisive first-time ball but Juve just about scrabble it clear. The stadium has gone very quiet...

"Cristiano Ronaldo's 54th goal of the season and without any shadow of doubt his easiest. It landed on his head less than a yard out after a lovely ball in from James Rodriguez. Suddenly, after being on top for so long, Juventus are behind in the tie with the away goal. Will they spooked by that? Or will they be brave enough to carry on the way they were?"

  12. GOALpublished at 20:14 British Summer Time 5 May 2015

That's what £150m-odd of talent can do! Quick as you like, Real Madrid slice through to equalise and it's a priceless away goal for Cristiano Ronaldo. James Rodriguez does brilliantly to get between Arturo Vidal an Leo Bonucci just inside the penalty area before lifting a cross over to the far post and giving Ronaldo a simple header from close range.

    That's 76 Champions League goals. A record.

Well I have to be honest, I feared a bit of a war of attrition. This has been a fine game.

"The wrong decision from Stephan Lichtsteiner. He has got to pull that to back post, because we know what happened the last time anybody did that - Iker Casillas spilled Carlos Tevez's shot out to Alvaro Morata for the opening goal."

  15. CLOSE!published at 20:12 British Summer Time 5 May 2015

Juve right-back Stephan Lichtsteiner gets away from Marcelo but then has a rush of Swiss blood to the head and lashes a shot into the side-netting. He had to pull that back, he was never going to score from there. He's not David Narey.

Rishabh Kapoor: Juve on this form can go all the way!

Paul Collins: Why is anyone surprised? Real Madrid should have gone out to Schalke and Juve are better than Schalke.

Dan Graham: Nice to see Massimo Taibi in goal for Madrid tonight... (see 8 mins)

  17. CLOSE!published at 20:10 British Summer Time 5 May 2015

Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo both drop deep in midfield to try and get on the ball for Real but the inevitable conclusion is that Marcelo's cross is to nobody in the middle.

The holders looking ragged. But then, quick as a flash, a long ball forwards finds Ronaldo onside, he's away but shoots wide on his left foot. That is a chance.

Real Madrid could do with Claude Makelele. Too many Galacticos, not enough water carriers? Maybe both sides are missing Paul Pogba tonight...

  19. Postpublished at 20:07 British Summer Time 5 May 2015

    Former Scotland international Pat Nevin
BBC Radio 5 live at the Juventus Stadium

"This is really concerning now for Carlo Ancelotti. He is down there on the touchline with his hands on his hips and he must be thinking: 'What can I do?' Real need somebody to help out in midfield, and that is probably not going to be Ronaldo. Bale dropping wouldn't be the worst thing in the world anyway - he loves running from that position."
