  1. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:31 British Summer Time 28 April 2015

I didn't expect to be writing this - Getafe almost pull a goal back! A low shot across goal from Fredy Hinestroza spins past Barca keeper Claudio Bravo, who recovers to scoop up the ball.

Now Luis Suarez decides he wants that matchball. Moments after laying off for Neymar he goes alone, firing a low shot straight at away keeper Vicente Guaita.

The Barcelona players are running into each other now as they try to enter seventh heaven. Luis Suarez, unselfishly, tries to lay off to Neymar but there is not enough space for the Brazilian to get away a clean strike.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:27 British Summer Time 28 April 2015

Barca boss Luis Enrique decides to make another tactical switch, deciding to save the legs of right-back Dani Alves ahead of some important La Liga, Champions League and Copa del Rey matches. The Brazil international is also given a standing ovation, high-fiving his replacement Martin Montoya.

Another minute, another Barcelona chance. This time Neymar crosses from the left to the far post where Luis Suarez lies in wait. But the Uruguayan, searching for his hat-trick remember, lashes a rising shot over the crossbar.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:24 British Summer Time 28 April 2015

Another Getafe lamb to the slaughter, sorry, substitute bounds on to the Nou Camp pitch. Felip Selma replaces fellow midfielder Rodriguez Villamuela.

Luis Enrique strolls up to the Nou Camp touchline, clasping his hand over his mouth as he relays some instructions to Neymar. Wonder what the boss is after? More goals perhaps?

Colin, Ormskirk: La Liga is an absolute joke, I'm sorry but I never thought I would get bored with games with 5 or more goals but it's getting ridiculous the amount of goals real or barca (Ronaldo or Messi) put past the cannon fodder in this league.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:19 British Summer Time 28 April 2015

Luis Suarez, subbed in the last four matches, looks nervously over to the touchline where Pedro is waiting to come on. Nope, not you Luis. Instead it is Xavi whose number is up. Cue ear-splitting applause from every single Barca fan in the stadium. He might be edging towards retirement but he stills knows how dictate and impact a game - brilliant.

A few groans from the Nou Camp stands as Luis Suarez is bundled out of possession in the right channel of the Getafe box. I suppose they have not had anything else to grumble about.

Don't adjust your laptops/mobiles - Getafe have a spell of pressure in Barcelona territory. Seriously. Ivi Lopez - the aforementioned Getafe substitute - sees a glimpse of the Barca goal, but slices high and wide.

Rob Kershaw: Can we get a magician to Camp Nou? I think someone needs to perform a disappearing act on the Getafe players

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:14 British Summer Time 28 April 2015

In the excitement of that Barca sixth, I forgot to tell you that Getafe made a change. How remiss of me. Young forward Ivi Lopez comes on for Babacar Diawara. Bet he's thanking his boss for that one...

Madan Roka: Well, the now the game is already over. The only question remaining is by how much.

  15. Postpublished at 20:10 British Summer Time 28 April 2015

I should add that any half-time stragglers at the Nou Camp will probably not have to wait long for another Barca goal. They are relentless. Xavi, that veteran puppetmaster, continues to pull the Barca strings as he sets up another home attack. This time the away team offer some resistance and stop Luis Suarez down the right.

Yes, is the answer to the below question. Those Barca fans still queuing up for a half-time 'jamon y queso' sandwich have just missed another pearler. Lionel Messi dribbles into the right hand side of the Getafe box, ball tied to his boot with a short piece of string, before curling into the far top corner.

Back under way. Another 45 minutes of misery for Getafe?

  18. Postpublished at 20:04 British Summer Time 28 April 2015

We have a change in the offing - and it is Barcelona who make the switch. Luis Enrique decides to give a rest to defensive midfielder Sergio Busquets as Sergi Roberto trots on in his place. Getafe were hoping to see Messi, Suarez and Neymar all hauled off...

  19. Postpublished at 20:03 British Summer Time 28 April 2015

Both teams return to the Nou Camp pitch - Barca, unsurprisingly, with more of a spring in their step than their Getafe rivals.

  20. Postpublished at 20:01 British Summer Time 28 April 2015

As Irvine hints at (I think), Getafe ruined Barcelona's chances of pipping Atletico to last season's title by snatching a late 2-2 draw at the Nou Camp last May. Revenge is a dish best served cold, they say. Or by serving up an absolute beating.
