Corner to Newcastle. Their first of the game.
MOTD's Steve Wilson at Loftus Road
"Newcastle striker Emmanuel Riviere is about to complete his 18th hour of Premier League football - he's had six shots on target and no goals."
Newcastle United: , externalThe #NUFC fans unite in applause at Loftus Road in memory of John Alder and Liam Sweeney.
Chipperhull:, external So if Hull, Sunderland and Newcastle all win Villa will be back in the bottom 3. That would be quite funny.
No, Hull or Leicester will be down there.
SHOT! Ex-Magpie Joey Barton drills in a shot from 20 yards that Newcastle keeper Tim Krul dives down to easily collect.
Another point worth making is that they've had about 200 throw-ins on the left in the direction QPR are attacking. There is hardly any play on the opposite wing.
Rangers pinging balls into the area for the likes of forwards Charlie Austin and Leroy Fer, but all rather aimless. A concern for the away side is that Ryan Taylor keeps losing possession in midfield.
Half chance for the Mags. Robert Green just gets ahead of striker Ayoze Perez after Clint Hill fails to get enough purchase on his header back to the keeper from Tim Krul's long punt.
QPR are on the front foot in these early stages, but then Clint Hill brings down Ayoze Perez and Newcastle have a free-kick about 20 yards from their own area. Ref Lee Probert has a word with Hill. A polite word, I think.
Actually QPR coach Chris Ramsey is also wearing a T-shirt. Symmetry.
Referee Lee Probert gets us under way.
It's lovely sunny day in west London. Newcastle coach John Carver does not need to roll up his sleeves for this battle, because he's wearing a fitted club T-shirt.
The teams are in the tunnel...
QPR midfielder Joey Barton:, external Looking forward to the game today. Toon Army in town. Important we bounce back from poor showing last week at City.
Barton also paid tribute to former QPR player Rodney Marsh on his account. I think that's what he was doing.
BBC Radio 5 live
So Steve Wilson has just highlighted that these two teams have not been very good this year. Read what QPR's director of football Les Ferdinand said on BBC Radio 5 live about his club's relegation.
Where QPR stand if the £60m fine is imposed:
"We'll not be in a good position. It's a situation where we have gone down to the Championship and we will have to cut our cloth accordingly.
Whether the club needs a few consolidation years in the Championship:
"Talking about what's happened in the past, one thing I will say is that the owners - they've done what they thought was right. Everything they've done, they've done with the right intentions. Unfortunately we've got it badly wrong. But the intention to do things right was what it was all about. We've found ourselves in this situation now and like I said we need to regroup and realise what this club is and where it is, and the best way forward for the club. Hopefully we'll do this.
Whether QPR have to start again:
"Yes. I think if you look at our development squad and the youth team, we haven't had someone come through and play in the first team on a consistent basis for 16 years now. And that's unheard of for a club like QPR. We get 18,000 supporters in this stadium every other week and they do a fantastic job when they come here. But realistically that's what we get through the turnstiles. So we can't afford to go out and spend £20m on players. We need to start regrouping and producing a crop of players who can play for this club."
What will happen to manager Chris Ramsey:
"I think we'll wait until the end of the season, I think the financial fair play will play a big role on where we need to go and what we're able to do. But for now we'll hopefully put in a good performance after what happened at Manchester City last weekend. So come the end of the season we'll have to regroup and look at the best way forward for QPR."
MOTD's Steve Wilson at Loftus Road
"On form these are the two worst Premier League teams of 2015"
Who will be Burnley and QPR's plus one at the relegation party? #bbcfootball, external
Just spotted Newcastle coach John Carver speaking to former QPR and Newcastle defender Darren Peacock at Loftus Road. Was one of his legs really longer than the other?
QPR make two changes as defender Nedum Onuoha and midfielder Junior Hoilett replace Yun Suk-young and Bobby Zamora.
Newcastle make one change as full-back Daryl Janmaat returns to replace Vurnon Anita in the line-up.

Newcastle XI: Krul, Janmaat, Coloccini, Dummett, Gutierrez, Colback, R.Taylor, Sissoko, Cabella, Perez, Riviere.
