Of course the real loser if this goes to extra time is the BBC Sport live text commentator who was planning to microwave some potatoes before his Women's World Cup duties start.

Toze, who has probably had as many shots as his team-mates combined since coming on after 54 minutes, drives another one over.

Oh a chance for Sweden as left-back Ludwig Augustinsson, a rumoured Liverpool target, finds John Guidetti - who becomes unemployed at midnight tonight. The (soon-to-be) ex-Manchester City striker tries to wriggle his way into some room to shoot but Portugal crowd him out .

As the underdogs, you wouldn't be surprised if Sweden coach Hakan Ericson has told his players to keep it tight and make it a 10-minute game. Will they really go for it now? Or is extra time the goal?

Sweden striker John Guidetti clonks Portugal keeper Jose Sa as they challenge for the ball. It was there to be won but the referee gives a free-kick.

For a minute it looks like Sa might be injured but he's OK to carry on. Portugal don't have any more subs left.

Portugal playmaker Bernardo Silva looks annoyed with his team-mates there - he gets to the byeline down the left wing with a nice bit of trickery, he's out there for a while and chips the ball into the box but none of his team-mates got into a position to challenge for it. They had enough time to.

Portugal make their final change as Goncalo Paciencia, their number nine, comes on for Ricardo Pereira.

Portugal forward Toze, who is on a one-man mission to score, wins a corner as another effort from just outside the box is deflected wide.

Their seventh corner of the game (Sweden have had none) is cleared. But now they win an eighth.

And Sweden do make their change, Palermo forward Robin Quaison, who has won five senior caps, replaces Simon Tibbling. A potentially exciting switch out wide.

A goal is coming - I can feel it. Portugal substitute Iuri Medeiros gets the ball and with his first impact in the game cuts inside from the right wing and curls a shot just wide of the far post. It was inches away.

Looks like Sweden are preparing a change.

It's taken over an hour but Sweden keeper Patrik Carlgren has to make his first save. Toze has a shot from outside the box and it seems to almost move in the air but the keeper is able to smother it down low and looks relieved.

Portugal make their second chance as Sporting Lisbon midfielder Iuri Medeiros replaces the lively Ivan Cavaleiro.

Just before the change can be made, earlier substitute Toze blazes over a shot.

Portugal playmaker Bernardo Silva, who has been well marshalled today, breaks forward but he is crowded out by Sweden's defence and they clear.

Uefa boss Michael Platini is at the match. Wonder what he has made of the entertainment on offer so far? Or indeed, if he fancies extra time? He looks very enthused.

A bit of a surprise switch as captain Sergio Oliveira, who just had a good chance and hit the bar in the first half, is replaced by Toze for Portugal.

The armband goes to Paulo Oliveira.  

That's the chance of the game there. A ball is played into the box and Isaac Kiese Thelin lays it off to John Guidetti, whose volley flies just over from the edge of the box. That was like watching a 1980s match. 

This game has exploded into life now and Sergio Oliveira fires a piledriver just wide at the other end.

Sweden have a chance and then moments later Portugal are inches away from taking the lead. The favourites counter and Ricardo plays a one-two with Bernardo Silva but is just unable to stretch far enough to turn Silva's cross home.

Portugal have had most of the ball so far - in a continuation of the first-half flow. But haven't done anything with it really.
