"It's finely balanced, this game. There's a very slow tempo to the start of this second half - not at all like the opening 45, It might be the substitutions that change the game in the end - but looking at the bench what options have Manchester United got in attack? Not a lot."

It's not that long ago that Newcastle came away from Old Trafford with a win. Yohan Cabaye's goal two years ago saw them return to Tyneside with three points but they'll fancy their chances of a repeat. United again enjoying plenty of possession but can't open up the defence.

This is only the second game in 21 Premier League matches in 2015 for Wayne Rooney that he's had more than one shot on target.

Newcastle are the most dangerous side as the half comes to an end. Ayoze Perez goes close with a low first time attempt from outside the box. The referee gives a corner but keeper Sergio Romero did not get a touch.
