Billy Birkins: Rotten Scotland, I'm fed up with this now.
Andy Craig: Mark McGhee said that Brown was the first name on the team sheet. Maybe it should be Darren Fletcher and Craig Gordon.
Bernard Ryan: Once again: Scotland can perform in Dortmund against the Germans, but not in Tbilisi against the Georgians. Advantage YBIG.
How it stands
'Monumental error'
Tom English
BBC Scotland
"Scotland looked like a team that didn't believe they had to win this match. They'll need to win their next three games [to have any chance of qualifying for the Euro 2016 finals]. It's a monumental error tonight."

Chris: Another woeful display from Scotland! All they can hope for is a miracle to get through. Tired of the disappointment now, Strachan needs to start picking players that want to be there, not just the names. This has been Strachan's worst game by far, poor tactics to start with and awful substitutions.

Angus McPhail: Looks like (8 years later) another Euro Championship Qualifying dealt a potentially fatal blow in Tblisi #GEOSCO #bbcscotfootball
John Delaney: So, just need to beat Germany and Poland now then. #GEOSCO
Bernard Ryan: Georgia 1-0 Scotland, bodes well for Rep of Ireland in Faro. Strachan lost for leaving Anya and Fletcher on too long.. YES.
FULL-TIME
Georgia 1-0 Scotland
Jubilation on the bench among the Georgia coaching staff; some of the Scotland players have their heads in their hands. Gordon Strachan looks crestfallen.
The remaining games against Germany, Poland and Gibraltar take on greater significance. The Scots will drop to fourth in Group D in the event of a Republic of Ireland victory.
CLOSE!
A flurry of Shaun Maloney corners, the latest of which sees the unmarked Charlie Mulgrew leap to send a header whistling just wide of goal.
Gordon Strachan hops up and down in frustration; Scotland frustrated once again.
Georgia 1-0 Scotland
Leigh Griffiths's low cross is blocked - corner for Scotland...
EXTRA TIME
Four minutes of added time in Tbilisi...
Georgia 1-0 Scotland
Shaun Maloney's free-kick deflects off the Georgia wall and over for a corner. Gordon Strachan has his head in his hands. Was that Scotland's last chance to salvage a point in Tbilisi?
Georgia 1-0 Scotland
Shaun Maloney finds himself in space on the left and his low centre is once again hoovered up by the Georgia defence. The visitors' forays forward are becoming increasingly desperate.
Georgia 1-0 Scotland
Georgia are increasingly first to the ball and the more likelier to add to their tally rather than concede a late equaliser. Scotland appear to be lacking urgency, worrying times...
Georgia 1-0 Scotland
Ten minutes plus added time remaining in Tbilisi for Scotland to salvage something from this Euro 2016 qualifier. Worryingly though, for Gordon Strachan, is the lack of creativity in front of goal.

John in Aberdeen: Think its time to give some players from the Scottish League [aside from Celtic] a chance at international football.
Georgia 1-0 Scotland
Shaun Maloney whips a free kick into the box but it's a Georgian head to flick the ball away. The hosts have the wind in their sails as they sense a potential victory in Tbilisi.
Georgia 1-0 Scotland
Another chance for the hosts as Mchedlidze flashes a shot wide of goal and into the side netting. Heart palpitations left, right and centre for anyone who follows Scotland.
Georgia 1-0 Scotland
A last throw of the dice by a tense-looking Gordon Strachan: Leigh Griffiths replaces Ikechi Anya.
Georgia 1-0 Scotland
Scotland substitute James Forrest tries to engineer an attack but he overruns the ball for a Georgia goal kick - triggering groans from the travelling Tartan Army.
Gordon Strachan's side have 20 minutes plus added time in which to find an equaliser. Can they do it?

Ronnie in Kirkcaldy: What has Gordon Strachan got against goalscorers? Jordan Rhodes not in the squad as usual and Leigh Griffiths on the bench. Steven Fletcher is massively overrated and seldom plays for his club.
Murray, from Edinburgh, following by text in Little Italy, which is a bar in Zurich!: while I can't actually see what's happening I have every faith in Wee Gordon and the boys. He's fostered a club like mentality by keeping a tight and trusted squad - we still have the spirit to turn this around!
CLOSE!
Ananidze is given oceans of space to rumble forward and his 25-yard howitzer forces a superb save from David Marshall. Scotland are on the precipice in Tbilisi.

Max Baggins-Craig: Finally changes are made, I've been so bored, frustrated & drained, about time things lighten up. Scots to qualify still.
Christopher Ballett: Steven Fletcher couldn't finish his dinner. Scottish Harry Kane #bbcscotfootball
Georgia 1-0 Scotland
Georgia come forward through Mchedlidze but his mazy run into the box fails to yield a decent cross. Relief for Scotland but they need to find a spark from somewhere.
Georgia 1-0 Scotland
Gordon Strachan shuffles his Scotland pack: James Forrest and Grant Hanley on for Steven Naismith and Andy Robertson.
Will the changes spark a second-half revival?

Angus McPhail: Get Fletcher off! Waste of space in this game! #GEOSCO
David de la Fawkes: Is Gordon Strachan incapable of using players other than his core squad? We badly need new blood and the sooner the better.
HITS THE WOODWORK
Steven Fletcher collects a cracking through ball and clips a shot at goal; only to see it bounce back off the post. An offside flag saves the striker's blushes. Scotland are knocking on the door here in search of an equaliser.
Georgia 1-0 Scotland
Steven Fletcher is impeded attempting to thread a ball through to Steven Naismith. Free kick to Scotland but again the delivery is poor and Georgia remain a goal to the good.
Georgia 1-0 Scotland
Ikechi Anya, running at full pelt down the left, shows the Georgia defence a clean pair of heels. However, he slows his run and the hosts clear the danger.
CLOSE!
Scotland think they've equalised but Steven Naismith is penalised for using an arm on the goal-line against Revishvili. The keeper gets sheepishly to his feet and rubs his neck as though indicating the Scotland forward had tried to get him with the piano wire.
Georgia 1-0 Scotland
More danger for Scotland as Ananidze whips a wicked ball into the near post and Mchedlidze steers his effort into the grateful arms of David Marshall.
KICK-OFF
We're back under way! No changes for either side...

Adam in Edinburgh: Fletcher, Maloney, Morrison, Mulgrew and especially Robertson have been awful! Where's the confidence? They're not being managed by LVG, get forward!!!
Martin, Dundee: We never learn. Awful defending at the goal. Far too much tippy-tappy passing going on giving the Georgians time to get back and defend. That might be fine if you have the players who can break them down - we don't - we're not Spain. We need to up the tempo of the game and play fast counter-attacking football.
Gary Macqueen: Same as 2007 - tactics are all wrong. Our best striker in Griffiths is on the bench while one-goal a game Fletcher starts again!
Anonymous: I genuinely think everyone should ignore the build up to a Scotland game. It's almost as if all the players read all the hope and good feeling and then their spine turns to the consistency of hospital jelly.

Andy Craig: Scott Brown running around like a headless chicken. I like Gordon Strachan but how he thinks Brown is better than Darren Fletcher is beyond me.
Steven Anderson: So Scotland might not look bad but have we even had one shot on goal?
Angus McPhail: Think Scott Brown has tried but been poor, Steven Fletcher not offered much at all
Graeme Aitken: Well played Scotland. Now we will snatch a 1-1 draw and claim it was a good result!
HALF-TIME
Georgia 1-0 Scotland (Qazaishvili)
Scotland trot off the pitch at the Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena and up the tunnel for a probable proverbial rocket from Gordon Strachan. Georgia lead at the break courtesy of Valeri Qazaishvili's strike.

Georgia 1-0 Scotland
Georgia's defence does well to thwart Steven Naismith as the Everton man prepared to flash a shot at goal. Frustration building for a Scotland side struggling for creativity in Tbilisi.

Georgia 1-0 Scotland
Scotland's defence is shredded once again and Okriashvili has two unmarked team-mates inside the box. He dithers and Scotland somehow clear for a corner. The hosts fail to profit. You wonder if they'll live to regret failing to take a golden chance to double their lead.
GOAL
Georgia 1-0 Scotland (Qazaishvili)
Jubilation in the Georgia technical area as the hosts break the deadlock with a goal of stunning simplicity. Scotland fail to deal with a ball into the box and Valeri Qazaishvili punishes them, rifling a shot low beyond the despairing David Marshall.
"They deserve the lead as they've been the better side," says BBC Sportsound pundit Willie Miller.

Scotland's best chance of the first half. The impressive Andy Robertson whips in a low dangerous cross which is in that no man's land between goal-line and six yard box. The stretching Steven Fletcher tries to steer the ball home with his left foot but his feathered touch drifts wide.
Georgia 0-0 Scotland
BBC Sportsound pundit Willie Miller
"Georgia will be more than happy with their performance and are stroking the ball about. I think the home team will be the happier of the two..."
Georgia 0-0 Scotland
Gordon Strachan makes a few tactical notes to share with his troops at the break. Will the Scotland manager be happy with his side's display so far?
A goal before half-time would see a big tick in his notebook...
Georgia 0-0 Scotland
Georgia continue to look dangerous on the counter attack until their forays crumble in the final third.
Scotland defend another aerial attack but the hosts are becoming more confident as we approach the 25-minute mark in Tbilisi. It remains goalless in this intriguing Euro 2016 qualifier.
Georgia 0-0 Scotland
Hutton, Morrison and Brown trade passes before Naismith darts into the box. The Everton man's centre is swept away by some desperate Georgia defending.
Corner for the visitors, but Georgia repel the danger.
Georgia 0-0 Scotland
Scotland attack down the right and a cross into the box sees Steven Fletcher penalised for an aerial challenge on Georgia keeper Revishvili who came for the cross somewhat unconvincingly.
Georgia 0-0 Scotland
Georgia midfielder Navalovski, like a cat playing with a ball of wool, keeps possession in midfield as he looks for an opening. Scotland's defence is resolute and there's nothing doing.
"Scotland are well organised and need to keep patient," says BBC Sportsound pundit Willie Miller.
Georgia 0-0 Scotland
Half-hearted appeals for a Scotland penalty as Andrew Robertson's dangerous cross sees Steven Naismith rise to head but then become entangled with a Georgia defender.
Nothing doing, though, as referee Ovidiu Alin Hategan, with a shake of the head, says no penalty.
Georgia 0-0 Scotland
Scotland are beginning to enjoy more possession in midfield but they've yet to get lightning-in-a-bottle Ikechi Anya into the game and running at the Georgia defence...yet.
YELLOW CARD
Alan Hutton slaloms through a couple of Georgia challenges before Kashia scythes the full-back down. Referee Ovidiu Alin Hategan is on the scene in seconds to produce the first yellow card of the game.
Georgia 0-0 Scotland
Better from Scotland. Shaun Maloney scurries in behind the Georgian rearguard but a promising move is brought to an abrupt end with an offside flag.
Georgia 0-0 Scotland
Emboldened by that early chance, Georgia are zipping the ball about the turf with a growing swagger. Scotland goalkeeper David Marshall gallops from his line to claim a deep cross.
"A poor cross and an easy take," says BBC Sportsound pundit Willie Miller.
Georgia 0-0 Scotland
Georgia spark the first alarm in the Scotland defence as a promising counter attack fizzles out as Qazaishvili drags his shot well wide of goal when he'd have been better served going for the old "give and go" with a nearby scampering team-mate.
Georgia 0-0 Scotland
Scotland defender Charlie Mulgrew is coolness personified as he snuffs out an early Georgia attack. The visitors feed the ball down the left as Anya and Robertson look to probe for an opening. Georgia clear their lines.
Georgia 0-0 Scotland
KICK-OFF

The anthems done and dusted, it's time for handshakes between both sets of players before whistler Ovidiu Alin Hategan prepares to get us under way.

The Tartan Army are in fine voice! The Georgian offering is almost operatic. Great stuff!

'Draw isn't a disaster'
BBC Sportsound pundit Willie Miller is an oasis of calm ahead of kick-off; like he's listening to Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon and drifting along to Us And Them.
"Don't get carried away," the bold Willie advises listeners. "It's got to be three points tonight but a draw isn't a disaster. And who's to say we can't beat Germany?"
Don't mention 'must win'
Ah, the dreaded "must win" phrase. Gordon Strachan has fairly bristled at its mention in the week leading up to tonight's qualifier.
However, with four games remaining in Group D, every point is precious.

What threat to Georgia pose?
"The Georgians are currently at a lowly 147th in the Fifa world rankings, writes BBC Scotland's Liam McLeod.
"Incredibly, since that anti-climactic night in October 2007, the Georgians have only won four of their subsequent 35 competitive matches.
"They've also managed to score just once in home competitive internationals in the last three years - Tornike Okriashvili's stunner against the Irish on matchday one in this campaign.
"It's hardly intimidating form. However, it is a Georgia side that Scotland struggled to put away when they ran out 1-0 winners at Ibrox last October..."

'I expect us to be in France'
With four games to go in Group D, Scotland have designs on qualifying automatically. Scotland and Norwich City defender Russell Martin is bullish over the national side's chances of appearing in France next summer.
"I expect us to be in France," he said. "I believe that 100 per cent and I'm sure everyone in the squad would tell you the same.
"With the position we have put ourselves in now we all expect to get there, it's as simple as that. If we don't we will all be extremely disappointed, but we are confident we have enough in the group.
"I've had loads of people giving us a lot of credit for what we've achieved recently in such a short space of time and the way we play and the way we approach games. Under this manager that won't change so hopefully we can take it to a major tournament and show it there as well."

Welcome
Good evening and a warm welcome to our live text coverage of Georgia v Scotland (17:00 BST kick-off).
How does Group D look?
The Scots, after six games in Group D, find themselves in third place, three points behind leaders Poland and two behind world champions Germany.
Strachan insists he doesn't view tonight's clash against Georgia in Tbilisi as a "must win".
However, with a game against the German juggernaut next Monday at Hampden looming on the horizon, maximum points this evening would be just the tonic.
Final countdown
"Nervous excitement" is how the man with the hopes of a nation on his shoulders describes the mood in the camp.
Scotland supporters can just about remember the last time they cheered on the national side at a major finals - the France 98 World Cup to be exact.
