Former Southampton manager Dave Merrington on BBC Radio Solent: "The manager has got decisions to make. I don' think he can continue to play five at the back. Maybe he could put Rodrigiez on the left and Tadic on the right. He's also got Long and Mane. He has attacking options and I think he has to make those decisions quickly."

Larstoftlarsen:  Rasmussen's nickname was given by his former youth coach who believed his heading ability resembled that of Duncan Ferguson.

So that is why striker Morten Rasmussen has got Duncan on his back!

Just over five to go before half-time and Midtyjlland almost double their lead - their best chance apart from the goal but Pione Sisto curls one over from the left of goal.

What can I tell you Dave? As far I can see Graziano Pelle's been pretty much the only outlet. 

Another Southampton corner is defended well, blocked by Petter Anderson's face at the front post as Jay Rodriguez connects. 

Hang on, here's a yellow card for the striker - I can only say it must be for the way he tugged at Anderson's shirt, telling the midfielder to get up after he'd hit the deck.

Saints need a goal before half-time - they should have had two, you could argue.

Jay Rodriguez won the ball and did well. He just had to make sure he plays the ball forward but he gets robbed and that's really cost us."

What's the response gonna be from Ronald Koeman and co now then? 

As it stands they're on their way out of Europe, at the second hurdle, in the pouring rain. 

How do you turn this one around?

It's all about Graziano Pelle's chest at the moment. 

Every time Saints get the ball it's neat and tidy, patient play to work an opening to hit Pelle. 

This time the slap-down is intercepted though.

Here's another Graziano Pelle slap-down and this time it's Steven Davis tacking on in the box. He's in a great position but the shot is straight at Johan Dahlin. 

It falls to Jay Rodriguez, who fires into the side netting but the flag was up anyway.
