"Neuer comes flapping out, he is nowhere. Giroud gets his luck for being brave but a goalkeeping mistake. What a substitution, Giroud has only been on five minutes.

"For his two great saves in the first half, that was poor. For one of his quality, that was very, very poor, he just comes flapping, just waving his arms."

It is pretty toasty in the Arsenal half as the above Bayern Munich heatmap shows. 

Manuel Neuer pretty much has just David Alaba and Jerome Boateng for company in his own half, and even then he will have to shout to them, as they are up by the halfway line.

Xabi Alonso and Arturo Vidal come off for Bayern, on come Rafinha and Joshua Kimmich. That means Philipp Lahm into midfield. #versatile

Bayern dominating possession now, death by a thousand passes as the midfield just ping it around. No real imminent danger though as Robert Lewandowski is snuffed out. 

Kiev counter well and it's Andriy Yarmolenko who beats two men and then slips a lovely pass into the run of Derlis Gonzalez. The angle is tight but his shot is a good one and Asmir Begovic makes a big save at his near post. Begovic then comes off his line to claw a cross away as the hosts pile on some pressure.

"Arsenal need to up the tempo. Some of the players are just walking around and it's Bayern Munich who are looking to force the issue. Bayern have made them work. The possession in the first half was a massive amount of chasing for Arsenal to do."
