  1. CLOSE!published at 21:00

    Chelsea 1-0 Dynamo Kiev

Nemanja Matic stutters on the ball and loses it in a dangerous area, substitute Junior Moraes walks onto it and fires in a shot which Asmir Begovic has to push away. Chelsea haven't wrapped this up yet...

  2. Postpublished at 20:59

    Bayern Munich 4-0 Arsenal

Santi Cazorla is played in on goal, lovely stuff from this Arsenal side, but Manuel Neuer is off his line like a scolded cat to stop him in his tracks.

The Gunners are getting a hiding but they are still alive and kicking in this group.

Jose Mourinho feeling the first moments of stress as Dynamo Kiev finally look like a team with the belief that they can get back into this game.

And as we know from the way Chelsea fell away after Liverpool's equaliser on Saturday, their confidence can still be fragile.

Again, Bayern Munich go round the back of Arsenal, it is so easy. The look in Pep Guardiola's eyes at the Emirate's when they lost 2-0 a few ago end was saying, wait 'til you get back to Munich. We are going to be waiting for you.

  6. goal

GOAL - Bayern Munich 4-0 Arsenalpublished at 20:56 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2015

    Arjen Robben (55 mins)

    Arjen Robben scoresImage source, Reuters

Impeccable timing. Arjen Robben is eager to make up for lost time after a lengthy injury blow and he scores within, what, 25 seconds of coming on? Douglas Costa feeds David Alaba on the overlap, he picks out Robben six yards out and the Dutchman batters home into the top corner. Clinical.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:55

Bayern Munich 3-0 Arsenal - Robben on

Just what Arsenal needed - Arjen Robben is on. He may be in the twilight of his Bayern career now but he's still a cracking player...

Chance for Chelsea! Diego Costa is lurking in the penalty area, he gets the ball and fires in a shot/cross which Willian turns on goal but Olexandr Shovkovskiy keeps out.

    Bayern Munich 3-0 Arsenal

    Kingsley ComanImage source, AP

It's oh so easy for Bayern as Kingsley Coman now wonders up the wing, decides to cut inside, is allowed to, has a think, decides to shoot, is allowed to and it's eventually deflected just wide.

Nothing has changed in the second half. Arsene Wenger looks like he has told his players, 'you put us in this mess, you get us out of it'. It's all Bayern, Bayern, Bayern.

  11. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 20:52

    Chelsea 1-0 Dynamo Kiev

Oh what a tackle! Kiev slice right through Chelsea, it all opens up for Artem Kravets, he's about to get a shot away but Kurt Zouma snakes out a leg to hook the ball away.

    Brilliantly-timed challenge. Superb.

  12. Postpublished at 20:49

    Bayern Munich 3-0 Arsenal

Straight from the off David Alaba and Kingsley Coman torch Arsenal down the left and Xabi Alonso has a shot blocked. So much space, the Gunners unable to cope out wide. At three nil down Arsene Wenger's thoughts may turn to Sunday's north London derby with Spurs.

  18. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:40 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2015

    Chelsea 1-0 Dynamo Kiev

Earlier we suggested that Petr Cech was feeling the heat more than any other footballer in Europe (see 20:25). But he has a rival! Dynamo Kiev keeper Olexandr Shovkovskiy has also been a busy bee, as you can see by that big red blob in his six-yard box. However, he has only been forced into two saves by Chelsea - and could do little about the own goal which has given the Blues a slender half-time lead.

    Bayern Munich 3-0 Arsenal

We shouldn't make broad, sweeping generalisations, and we shouldn't judge sides without seeing more of them.

But it's half time and we've got some dead air to fill so I'm going to put it out there that this Bayern Munich side would have the Premier League title wrapped up by Valentine' Day. And you could give them a winter break.
