Chelsea v Dynamo Kiev (19:45 GMT)

    Chelsea

Whatever the problems may be at Chelsea, Jose Mourinho has rejected claims that there is a player revolt at the club.

Earlier on Tuesday, Blues midfielder Cesc Fabregas denied reports that he was organising a "mini-revolt" at the Premier League champions.

"It's a very sad accusation because you are accusing a player, or more than one player, of dishonesty," said Mourinho.

Speaking at a news conference, he added: "It is a question for the players. If I accuse you to be a dishonest journalist, you would be very upset and probably would take legal action."

This is not a must-win game for Chelsea. but Jose Mourinho will want to win. They are only three points behind Porto but ideally they will want to win. They can still rectify the position in their remaining two games. It is very hard to second guess Roman Abramovich. Mourinho is his man. If they lose tonight, the Russian would still back him. Does he go to the training ground and have a meeting or does he pull the trigger?

This time last year Chelsea were unbeaten in 16 matches, winning 12 of them.

The squad has hardly changed, the starting XI remains largely the same, the manager hasn't moved on.

So how has their form imploded so much?

Our colleagues at BBC Trending tackled a key question this morning on a thorny subject: why do half-and-half scarves annoy fans so much?

Does your blood boil at the sight? Or do you secretly, maybe openly, enjoy them?

Have you got a huge collection of half-and-half memorabilia?

We want to see your pictures, hear your tales.

Text us on 81111 (UK Only) or tweet us at #bbcfootball. Let's see those kits, scarves, hats - whatever...

    Ramifications for English teams

    Group G

Zero points and zero goals, Maccabi Tel Aviv already look like propping up Group G. They come up against leaders Porto, who will go a long way to qualifying for the knockout stages if they beat the Israeli side. Third-placed Chelsea come up against Dynamo Kiev who lie in second position.

    Group F

Olympiakos host Dinamo Zagreb in Group F and it's an interesting situation. Should the Greek side win, it will take them to nine points and a defeat for Arsenal at Bayern Munich will leave them in a perilous position with two games to go. Can the Croatians help out Arsene Wenger's side?

The next instalment in the Jose Mourinho drama takes place at Stamford Bridge tonight as Chelsea face Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League.

Chelsea captain John Terry insisted the players were behind Mourinho as the pre-match press conference and he writes in his programme notes: "It is killing us all to be where we are in the league and to be losing games as we are, but there is only one way we come out of this and that is by being Chelsea and staying together."

In August, 22 of 30 BBC Sport pundits backed the Blues to win the league again. Alistair Mann predicted the lowest finish for them - in third.
