    Celtic 1-2 Ajax

Celtic manager Ronny Deila: "Some of the same things were happening. Again it was not good enough. But I see talent that will develop.

"This gives me a lot of energy to bounce back and I've done that many times in my career."

    Liverpool 2-1 Bordeaux

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp on BT Sport: "It was an important night for the whole team or the club because we are in the next round. A few weeks ago we were with three points and now we have nine and we can go top of the table in the next round so it's a big chance for us.

"I don't know about [Daniel Sturridge's injury]. We have to wait for some things, it's a fight again, we have to be prepared and we will be prepared. The atmosphere tonight was great and we really enjoyed it. 2-1 is a good result [for the fans] to stay [until the end]."

Wow, Celtic's striker taking full responsibility for their Europa League exit. You don't see that level of honesty too often.

  6. 'Strange decisions'published at 22:18

    Liverpool 2-1 Bordeaux

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp on BT Sport: "There is no bad news tonight because we knew the before the game Bordeaux are much better than their situation in the table. We tried to defend in the centre, the first half was better, when we had the ball we had more ideas, but we lost balls in difficult situations for us, so it was an open game for us.

"There were some strange decisions I would say, I hope strange is not too hard a word. Frustrated? I don't know. [Simon Mignolet] was 20 seconds with the ball? Oh OK. Usually you won't give this type of free-kick. Easy games every can win but this was not an easy game."

Anon: Benteke is NOT a Liverpool player. The Reds have always hunted in packs of two - eg St John/Hunt, Toshack/Keegan, Dalglish/Rush, Fowler/Owen, Suarez/Sturridge. No forward who has to wait for the ball will succeed. Still, I suppose he is prepared to play!!! A different anon: Can we please get rid of Deila? I have three season tickets and have had for decades and I arrived in a very wet Glasgow tonight and thought before the game this was not going to happen. I made a good choice of a nice dinner and drinks. Where I am now is I will not be renewing my season tickets after 35 years. The team, the formation, the lack of capability and possibility to change formation suck. Lowell is obviously a business man and not a football man. Time to get real.

    Liverpool 2-1 Bordeaux

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is talking to BT Sport. He wasn't impressed by the free-kick given against Simon Mignolet - but then he seemed surprised when the interviewer told him the keeper had held it for 20 seconds.

    Liverpool 2-1 Bordeaux

Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet on his error for Bordeaux's goal: "What can you do? Unfortunately I waited a bit too long but the fortunate thing is we responded. We have qualified now and hopefully we can win group."

Christian Benteke on being brought down for the penalty: "I have to play the game, he grabbed me and I think it's a penalty. I try to do my job when the coach needs me and try to work hard for the team. I came here to fight for every game and take the opportunities the manager gives me."

    Celtic 1-2 Ajax

Ajax dominated possession and had more shots - but Celtic actually had more efforts on target. But there's only one stat that counts

Michy Batshuayi (pictured) scored a late goal to give Marseille victory a 2-1 victory over Dutch side Groningen in Group F. The French side need a point against Slovan Liberec to secure their passage.

Midtjylland's fate hangs in the balance after they lost 1-0 to Group D bottom side Legia Warsaw. They need to defeat Club Brugge in the final match to guarantee their passage.

In the other match, Napoli secured their fifth win from five thanks to Vlad Chiricheş's first-half effort against Club Brugge.

Fenerbahce's 2-0 win in Molde mean they will need to beat Group A's bottom side Celtic to secure their route to the knockout round.

I don't think football works like that - you don't get to choose who supports your team!

Grahame Cramlington: Usual picture of a player tapping the badge after scoring. Benteke has only been a Liverpool player five minutes. Loyal to his next pay cheque or big move if Liverpool fail to get European football.
