Celtic manager Ronny Deila: "Some of the same things were happening. Again it was not good enough. But I see talent that will develop.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp on BT Sport: "It was an important night for the whole team or the club because we are in the next round. A few weeks ago we were with three points and now we have nine and we can go top of the table in the next round so it's a big chance for us.

"I don't know about [Daniel Sturridge's injury]. We have to wait for some things, it's a fight again, we have to be prepared and we will be prepared. The atmosphere tonight was great and we really enjoyed it. 2-1 is a good result [for the fans] to stay [until the end]."

'Strange decisions'

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp on BT Sport: "There is no bad news tonight because we knew the before the game Bordeaux are much better than their situation in the table. We tried to defend in the centre, the first half was better, when we had the ball we had more ideas, but we lost balls in difficult situations for us, so it was an open game for us.

"There were some strange decisions I would say, I hope strange is not too hard a word. Frustrated? I don't know. [Simon Mignolet] was 20 seconds with the ball? Oh OK. Usually you won't give this type of free-kick. Easy games every can win but this was not an easy game."

Benteke 'plays the game'

Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet on his error for Bordeaux's goal: "What can you do? Unfortunately I waited a bit too long but the fortunate thing is we responded. We have qualified now and hopefully we can win group."

Christian Benteke on being brought down for the penalty: "I have to play the game, he grabbed me and I think it's a penalty. I try to do my job when the coach needs me and try to work hard for the team. I came here to fight for every game and take the opportunities the manager gives me."

Michy Batshuayi (pictured) scored a late goal to give Marseille victory a 2-1 victory over Dutch side Groningen in Group F. The French side need a point against Slovan Liberec to secure their passage.

Midtjylland's fate hangs in the balance after they lost 1-0 to Group D bottom side Legia Warsaw. They need to defeat Club Brugge in the final match to guarantee their passage.

In the other match, Napoli secured their fifth win from five thanks to Vlad Chiricheş's first-half effort against Club Brugge. 

Fenerbahce's 2-0 win in Molde mean they will need to beat Group A's bottom side Celtic to secure their route to the knockout round.

Liverpool striker Christian Benteke has the ball in the net for the third time - but it's disallowed for the second time. James Milner crosses to Benteke, who slams home. He thinks he's scored, all of Anfield does, but the referee spotted a shove on defender Ludovic Sane which is how Benteke found his space to score.

Both sides giving it a good go in Glasgow. They are the bottom two clubs - but can both qualify - so someone really needs to win this to mix the group up.

And moments later Christian Benteke has the chance to play in Roberto Firmino but underhits the pass and it's cut out by a Bordeaux player.

We've seen both sides of Christian Benteke today. Joe Allen does well to find Roberto Firmino, who squares it for the Belgian striker 12 yards out. It looks a straightforward chance but he absolutely hoofs it over the bar. Awful finish.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, speaking to BT Sport, on Daniel Sturridge's latest injury: "I can't say so much about this because we trained this morning, we were at the hotel and he had to leave to have a scan. We have to wait for the results."

On the match: "At this moment many people are talking because of the difference in results. We have got better and better in the last few weeks. It's another difficult game because we have some problems with injuries."

According to Liverpool's website, this will be the first time in the club's history that European games against the same team in a single campaign have seen a different Reds boss in charge. Brendan Rodgers was in charge in France earlier this season. That game ended 1-1.

The Reds would qualify with a victory tonight against Bordeaux, having only won one of their opening four games.

They began with three 1-1 draws - against tonight's opposition, Sion and Rubin Kazan - before beating the latter 1-0 last time out.

Celtic midfielder Nir Bitton is suspended tonight, and that's perhaps for the best with his negative attitude.

Speaking after his side's second consecutive defeat by Molde - where he was sent off, he said: "After you lose two games in a row to Molde, you cannot think about beating Ajax and Fenerbahce."

How have Celtic done so far?

The Hoops will be eliminated if they lose tonight.

It was actually looking OK for Celtic in the early stages of this group. They drew 2-2 against Ajax and Fenerbahce in their first two games, both games they were unfortunate to not win.

But two defeats by Molde, 3-1 and 2-1 last time out, and they are in real trouble now.

Ronny Deila's side started the season in the Champions League qualifiers, getting past Stjarnan and Qarabag but losing to Malmo then at the final hurdle.

Just the 2,500-mile flight from Baku to London for Spurs, before they face Chelsea at noon on Sunday.

And yet the Italians have extended their lead - Bernarderschi with his second.

Almost a chance for Qarabag. Ryan Mason loses the ball to Dani Quintana, who plays the ball out right to Rydell Poepon but the ball is hit too hard and makes his team-mate work too much. They end up with their back to goal, and Spurs clear.

It's not going all Spurs' way at the moment, although they definitely had the better of the first 20 minutes.

Liverpool's Group B rivals FC Sion have lost 2-0 away to Rubin Kazan. It means Jurgen Klopp's side will go top of the table - as well as qualifying for the last 32 with one game to spare - if they defeat Bordeaux later on. Sion's last group game is at home to Liverpool on 10 December.

Elsewhere, Borussia Dortmund, who have already qualified from the group stages, have lost 1-0 at Krasnodar, while Dinamo Minsk have their first win of the Group E campaign with a 1-0 victory over Viktoria Plzen.

A history lesson

Qarabag are originally from Agdam but the city was destroyed in the Nagorno-Karabakh War in the 1990s.

It was once a city of 50,000 people, who all fled when Armenia attacked. Every Azeri house in the town was blown up to discourage return. 

The club now play in Baku, over 200 miles away.
