Mike, Liverpool: Liverpool hoping Benteke grows into a £32.5m player. Arsenal paid £35m for Sanchez. Sanchez is undoubtedly the better player. Everton paid £28m for Lukaku, who is a better striker, but perhaps not such a technical player. I feel Liverpool over-paid for Benteke - cue Benteke hat-trick.

They could probably do a whole university course into studying whether Christian Benteke is very good or not. The Belgian waits for a Roberto Firmino pass to roll to him, rather than coming for it, and it's intercepted.

Bordeaux are insistent they should have a penalty as Christian Benteke handles a corner which had gone past Cedric Yambere. Not sure the Belgian could have done much about that. A few tough calls for the referee tonight - he's got most of them right.

Joe Allen then forces a save from Cedric Carrasso from distance and the keeper then denies Jordon Ibe a minute or two later.

Liverpool striker Christian Benteke has the ball in the net for the third time - but it's disallowed for the second time. James Milner crosses to Benteke, who slams home. He thinks he's scored, all of Anfield does, but the referee spotted a shove on defender Ludovic Sane which is how Benteke found his space to score.

Both sides giving it a good go in Glasgow. They are the bottom two clubs - but can both qualify - so someone really needs to win this to mix the group up.

And moments later Christian Benteke has the chance to play in Roberto Firmino but underhits the pass and it's cut out by a Bordeaux player.

We've seen both sides of Christian Benteke today. Joe Allen does well to find Roberto Firmino, who squares it for the Belgian striker 12 yards out. It looks a straightforward chance but he absolutely hoofs it over the bar. Awful finish.

Bordeaux's Andre Poko has hurt himself leaping over James Milner. He won a free-kick in the process. Not sure what Milner was penalised for there. Standing while someone jumped on him?
