Sergio Aguero has yet another chance. This time the City striker balloons his shot over from Kevin De Bruyne's cross. It wasn't an easy chance to be fair. A quarter chance let's call it. 

We are in stoppage time - four minutes of it.

West Ham are through again! The brilliant Dmitri Payet plays a ball into the area which Diafra Sakho reads. This time Eliaqium Mangala is alert to the danger and makes a last-ditch tackle to deny Sakho.

How much is this City defence worth?? They could have been three down!

Sakho receives treatment after the challenge, but he's OK.

Sergio Aguero is in again for City. This time Bacary Sagna plays in a low cross for the Argentine, who tries to flick the ball past keeper Adrian at the near post. 

The ball comes backs to Aguero, who jabs the ball against Adrian's chest. It was never going to go in from that range, especially with the Hammers keep out so quickly to smother his effort.

Hey, let's not have a pop at Jesus Navas too early. His shot has to be punched away by Adrian before Sergio Aguero curls a shot wide from 20 yards.

St Chawal: This is an unbelievable Hammering at the Etihad! 

Shohidur Rahman: This just illustrates how bad City's defence is without Kompany. Dreadful.

Aguero's through.....but he's offside and wellies the ball out of play. Some of you are saying that Samir Nasri should have started instead of Jesus Navas, who by the way was a late replacement for David Silva who was injured in the warm-up.

If things continue like this then Nasri could be on earlier than expected after the break. City need something from someone.

West Ham are playing a good line at the back, although they are almost caught out by Raheem Sterling after a ball is threaded into the area. One to watch.

The City players were probably shouting something other than "Jesus Navas" as the Spaniard failed to find any of his team-mates after finding himself on the right-hand side of the area. It's busy though in and around the Hammers area.

It's a yellow for Manuel Lanzini for a foul on City's Raheem Sterling. City have had 63% of the possession.

At the other end, it's a West Ham corner. Another full debutant Nicolas Otamendi slides in to prevent Carl Jenkinson from crossing. The corner comes to nothing.

That was close-ish. City's Kevin De Bruyne fires in a low flat cross from the right that almost reaches striker Sergio Aguero, but James Tomkins is on hand to swipe away. Last ditch stuff.

There promises to be a nice little battle for superiority in midfield between West Ham's Dmitri Payet and City's Kevin De Bruyne.

Payet has been quiet so far, while De Bruyne, making his first start, has yet to get into the game, much like his team-mates.

Oh dear! Aaron Cresswell gives the ball away with a poor headed backpass. Sergio Aguero pounces, takes the ball past Adrian but slots well wide. Like, really wide. Admittedly, there were a couple of defenders covering, but still...
