We are asking for your injuries sustained while watching football.

Rob Trafford: Broken foot after Carlisle United scored a last gasp winner against Macclesfield Town around 2007. It was only when I got off the coach and couldn't walk I realised! Try explaining that one at A and E!

Ashley Newman: I once fell off my sofa whilst reaching for a packet crisps during the Chelsea-Tottenham League Cup Final. I landed on the remote control (which broke) and a bruise formed on my hip, which lasted for 3 days.

It's one thing getting an injury playing football, but watching on your couch at home Ashley?

  2. 'Don't get carried away with Klopp'published at 11:00

Liverpool v Aston Villa (15:00 BST)

    Chris Sutton
Former Blackburn striker on BBC Radio 5 live

There's been talk of a protest at Anfield today, with many fans fancying former Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp over current manager Brendan Rodgers.

    Jurgen KloppImage source, EPA

"There are similarities between Jurgen Klopp and Brendan Rodgers  – Klopp lost Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski to Bayern Munich and then failed in essence. I don’t think we should get carried away with Klopp.

"What is he going to bring that Rodgers couldn’t? His last season at Borussia Dortmund was a failure.

"If Liverpool were going to change manager they’d have done it after the final day of last season when they lost 6-1 to Stoke.

"The next three games – I think it’s getting pretty critical. The Villa and Sion games, we all expect Liverpool to win but if they get thumped in the derby he’s a goner. Liverpool fans are patient so if they turn against Rodgers there’ll be no choice."

  3. D-day for Rodgers?published at 10:55

Liverpool v Aston Villa (15:00 BST)

Right let's move onto some of the three o'clock games. Newcastle boss Steve McClaren might be one of them, but there can't be many managers who need a win today more than Liverpool gaffer Brendan Rodgers. Former Reds defender Mark Lawrenson was scathing in his criticism of the team on Friday. A penalty shoot-out win over League Two side Carlisle has done little to quell the nay-sayers. That is their only win in the last six games.

In tandem with the Danny Baker show on Radio 5 live, we're asking for your injuries sustained when watching football. Hurting yourself celebrating a goal is one thing - but what about when it's not even a goal?

Sam Collins: I pulled a hamstring violently celebrating Raheem Sterling's wonder goal (miss) against Italy at the World Cup

Matt Sturgeon: Fell off my chair in Bogotá airport when Lampard 'scored' v Germany. Double whammy when I got back up to see it didn't count.

That is real pain Matt - a sore backside and a disallowed goal.

  5. 'Familiarity breeds content for defenders?'published at 10:48

Harry Kane and Wayne RooneyImage source, PA

Harry Kane's goal drought has caused plenty of discussion this season, but it isn't an issue confined to the Spurs striker. Wayne Rooney and Alexis Sanchez have yet to hit the target while Diego Costa, Eden Hazard and Sergio Aguero have one each.

So what is causing some of the Premier League's most prolific marksmen to dry up? Our chief football writer Phil McNulty has been investigating.

  6. 'No pressure on De Bruyne'published at 10:45

Tottenham v Manchester City (12:45 BST)

    Trevor Sinclair
Former Manchester City winger on BBC Radio 5 live

    Kevin de BruyneImage source, Reuters

"Kevin de Bruyne has done very well. He isn't a winger - he can play inside. He doesn’t want to be the star of the show – he's a provider.

"There’ll be no pressure on him as they have so many superstars. If he doesn’t do it one day, they have another four or five that can.

"Sergio Aguero is 100% fit. Vincent Kompany is back. City played well against West Ham despite losing – I don’t think the morale has been dented too much.

"If David Silva and De Bruyne link up, Aguero will be easy pickings."

  7. Kane 'will be a top player'published at 10:41

Tottenham v Manchester City (12:45 BST)

    Chris Sutton
Former Blackburn striker on BBC Radio 5 live

    Harry KaneImage source, PA

"I feel for Harry Kane. He’s got more strings to his bow than scoring goals. He’ll be a top player. I worry about Spurs – where they’re going. I think they’ll be sixth or seventh again as usual.

"Kevin de Bruyne has fitted in seamlessly at Manchester City. The key is keeping Sergio Aguero fit. I don’t know why they sold Edin Dzeko. If they keep Aguero fit I think they can win a lot of things."

Danny Baker on BBC Radio 5 Live now wants your injuries while watching football, and not all were suffered celebrating goals....

Michael in Edinburgh: I sliced my chin open on the foil casing of a pie at a Hearts v Motherwell match. Blood everywhere!

Danny Allen: Got stung in the mouth from a rogue wasp inside a can of cider. Cue mouth swelling to an abnormal size in less than a minute.

Thanks Michael and Danny, I'll never have a pie and a pint at football again after those horror stories!

Seems like international tournaments lead to a lot of football watching injuries to - especially Euro 96...

Chris from Leek, Staffordshire:  Euro 96 England v Holland. When England scored their third I jumped up off my stool in the pub and bashed my head on a low beam. Cant remember the rest if the game but what a win and I still have the scar under my ever thining hair!

Matt in Chester: As a student in Nottingham during euro 96 my housemate jumped up a punched two holes in the ceiling after Gazza's dentist chair celebration goal, needless to say he lost his deposit.

Students never get their deposit back Matt, you'd have to tidy up for that.

Right, let's tuck into a few of today's big games in more depth? As mentioned, first up is Tottenham versus Manchester City at 12:45 BST.

Spurs have been solid if unspectacular so far this season, and were beaten in midweek by rivals Arsenal in the Capital One Cup. Alas, the previously invincible Manchester City are coming off the back of their first Premier League defeat of the season. There are usually goals between the two sides, and both teams have a couple of new players in their ranks - step Spurs forward Son Heung-min and City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne.

Here's how the two teams have fared so far this season....

We're asking for your injuries picked up watching football....

Alex Storey: Watching Bournemouth away at Luton. Scored to go 4-1 up, stacked it running to celebrate, fell down about 12 rows of seats.

Jamie Cooke: I once fell down the stairs when I was going to tell my dad we were beating Wolves 1-5 (I'm a West Brom fan). Even though I cracked my ribs I still attempted to run to the garden where my dad was to tell him about the score. I never got there of course.

Hope the win made up for the cracked ribs Jamie.

We want your injuries while watching football but sometimes celebrating a goal too vociferously can lead to an injury.....

Bob Horton When Aguero scored his winner against QPR to win City the title, my Dad and I went to hug each other, forgetting that my younger brother was sat between us, we completely crushed him, but he cheered up pretty quick

James Phipps: Beckham scored against Greece, wife jumped on me, pushed into pub wall, concussion for about a week. Doctor told me to go to police.

Hope you saw sense and didn't get the missus banged up James.

Ever celebrated wildly and hurt yourself in the process?

Kiran: Owen scored the winner in the Man Utd 4-3 Man City derby and I punched the floor about 3 times. Couldn't use my hand the next day #worthit

Jordan: Got accidentally punched in the face at Rushden in 2007/08 by a happy supporter celebrating a Mark Beesley winner for Cambridge.

Good job it was the winner Jordan, not worth getting punched for a point!
