Two shots on target for Villa today, which might tell its own story. The red arrows are off target while the yellow ones are blocked attempts. Credit to the Stoke defence for those.

    Bournemouth 1-1 Watford

BBC Sport's Mark Mitchener at Vitality Stadium: "A third 1-1 draw in four meetings for Bournemouth and Watford - and a tale of two strikers and two goalkeepers. A mixed afternoon for Glenn Murray with a first Cherries goal and a missed penalty. Heurelho Gomes takes the applause from the visiting fans for his penalty save - while opposite number Artur Boruc may wish to swerve Match of the Day tonight after his error gifted Odion Ighalo the equaliser."

As it stands, Brighton will extend their advantage at the top of the Championship by a point. They are drawing 1-1 with Cardiff, while Middlesbrough are 1-0 down at Reading. The Royals, Birmingham (1-0 up at Leeds) and Hull (1-0 up at Nottingham Forest) will stay in touch with the leaders.

Peterborough and Millwall are throwing haymakers at each other in an attempt to land a knock-out blow in League One. Conor Washington looked to have done just that, making it 4-2 to the home side, but Mark Beevers' goal has kept Millwall in it.

    Bournemouth 1-1 Watford

    John Hartson
Former Wales striker on Final Score

"The referee turns the first appeal down on Glenn Murray and then it's given on Smith. I think because he turns the first one down he gives the second appeal.

"But it's a good save. Watford will feel it wasn't a penalty, so they think justice has prevailed."
