It's not looking good for Aston Villa. They remain bottom with only five points to their name. Watford move up to 11th after claiming the win.

That's it. Aston Villa lose. Again.

Striker Troy Deeney breaks forward and plays in Ettiene Capoue but his shot is put behind for a corner.

Watford are hanging for full-time now. 

Aston Villa manager Remi Garde seems pensive, concerned perhaps, as his side look like they're about to fall to their 11th league defeat of the season.

Watford are still pushing forward in these final few minutes, but look tired now. 

That's Watford's first headed goal of the season. What a stat.

Now there's a bit of handbags after a high jump from Etienne Capoue, who has already been booked. The referee lets it slide. 

Wait...this just got interesting.

Jordan Ayew controls, turns and strikes an absolute cannonball into the bottom corner. 

Villa couldn't do it, could they? They have 10 minutes of injury time to find an equaliser.

We think Birmingham fan Troy Deeney enjoyed that one. 

A wonderful bullet header, from Odion Ighalo's looping shot, makes it four in five for the Watford striker. 

The Villa players look shell-shocked. The Hornets fans are bouncing. 

Watford sub keeper Giedruis Arlauskis has his first touch of the ball as he latches onto an in-swinging Villa ball. He has a bit of a tangle with Craig Cathcart, but luckily not as harsh as Heurelho Gomes earlier, and the ball is cleared. 

Jordan Ayew makes a darting run into the box and tumbles down, and while the Villa fans shout for a penalty, the players themselves don't fight for it.

There's action on the Watford bench as Adlene Guedioura comes on for Almen Abdi - their final change. 

It's quietened down now. Watford are keeping possession nicely, while Aston Villa search for some answers. 

Alan Hutton tried to stop Troy Deeney's ball finding Odion Ighalo. I guess technically he succeeded.

Among all the goal and injury action, there's been a couple of substitutes.

Ikechi Anya replaces Juan Carlos Paredes for Watford, while Aston Villa have brought on Adama Traoré for Carles Gil.

Villa are behind again. Poor old Alan Hutton. 

Troy Deeney passed the ball through to Odion Ighalo, but Hutton got the last touch as we went to put in a tackle and it went past Brad Guzan.

Pressure on the hosts now. 

The Hornets bench are quick into action, and substitute keeper Giedruis Arlauskis is about to enter the fray for his Premier League debut.

The Lithuania international played against England in October, letting in three goals.

Heurelho Gomes is still being treated on the pitch, so there will be a long delay to the end of the game. 

Watford keeper Heurelho Gomes has just been clattered in the head by his own man Craig Cathcart, and he's wiggling his legs in pain. Looks like a head injury and he's receiving oxygen from the medical team.  

Heurelho Gomes = butter fingers.

The Watford keeper comes to collect a Scott Sinclair ball-in but drops it, and panics, before it's eventually cleared. A let-off for the Hornets.
