  1. Middlesbrough 2-0 Leeds Unitedpublished at 58 mins

That decision looks like it's fired Leeds up. Certainly Mirco Antenucci, who gave the referee's assistant a piece of his mind immediately after that goal was disallowed.

Leeds head coach Uwe Rosler doesn't look best pleased on the bench, either.

Antenucci almost gets on the scoresheet as Jordan Botaka's excellent cross finds him unmarked 12 yards out, but the striker plants his header straight at Dimi Konstantopoulos.

  3. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 55 mins

    Middlesbrough 2-0 Leeds United

Ooh, big controversy. Leeds striker Mirco Antenucci is denied by the offside flag.

Antenucci gets on the end of a deflected shot and scores from close range, and initially the goal is given. But the officials have a chat and then it's ruled out. Television replays show it's a very, very close call.

Meanwhile, Christian Stuani is replaced by Diego Fabbrini for Middlesbrough.

Having previously had only a couple of tame efforts to keep out, Middlesbrough's Dimi Konstantopoulos finally makes a meaningful save.

Alex Mowatt forces the Greek goalkeeper to fly away to his left to push away a curling free-kick that was heading into the top corner.

  5. Middlesbrough 2-0 Leeds Unitedpublished at 52 mins

Leeds striker Mirco Antenucci applauds a pass that sails miles over his head and straight through to the goalkeeper. The delivery into the box needs to be better than that.

  6. Middlesbrough 2-0 Leeds Unitedpublished at 48 mins

A quick counter-attack and suddenly Middlesbrough are looking dangerous. Charlie Taylor makes an excellent last-ditch intervention to prevent Albert Adomah getting a shot in on goal.

  7. Middlesbrough 2-0 Leeds Unitedpublished at 47 mins

Leeds get an early free-kick near the byline. Again, it's Christian Stuani who is the offender. Referee Neil Swarbrick gives the Boro forward what I imagine is his final warning. Any more and he'll be back in the dressing room, running the bath for his team-mates.

    The free-kick is easily cleared.

The Leeds fans are less happy, with one man being held to account...

Johno Manley: That 45 has summed up Bellusci. So so bad. Got to be gone at half time.

Wayne: That was the 2nd worst first half performance I've seen from a Leeds player in recent years. Rachubka vs Blackpool being the worst.

  12. Eagles set to soar?published at 14:13

Watford v Crystal Palace (16:00 BST)

Crystal Palace are also eyeing up a place in the top six, which will be theirs if they beat Watford today.

Palace's summer recruits are settling nicely, including Bakary Sako, who scored twice in his first two appearances for the club.

Alan Pardew's side have lost narrowly to Manchester City and Tottenham since then, but the talent within their squad suggests there shouldn't be any repeat of the relegation scraps they've flirted with in recent seasons.

  13. Hornets buzzing in top flightpublished at 14:10

Watford v Crystal Palace (16:00 BST)

Watford won promotion from the Championship last season and much of their success was based on the goals of a potent front three - Troy Deeney, Odion Ighalo and Matej Vydra.

Ighalo netted a brace in Watford's 2-1 win at Newcastle last time out.

The Hornets are unbeaten at home this season and are yet to concede a goal at Vicarage Road.

A win by two goals or more today would take the Hornets into the top six.

So, Middlesbrough 2-0 up at half-time.

There's just the one Premier League game today, and it features two clubs who have started the season in fine form.

Take the two goals out of this game and it's been a fairly even contest. Both sides have had spells of possession, and both sides have tested the opposition goalkeeper.

But Leeds have gifted Middlesbrough their two goals, first failing to clear a cross allowing David Nugent to open the scoring, and then defender Giuseppe Bellusci heading a cross into his own net.

If Danny Baker fancies bringing out another "Own Goals and Gaffs" video, Bellusci's own goal would be a suitable inclusion.

Much work to do for the visitors after the interval.

  16. Middlesbrough 2-0 Leeds Unitedpublished at 45 mins

Middlesbrough step up a gear as they chase a killer third goal before the interval. Fernando Amorebieta's effort is blocked, Christian Stuani's header is off target and then Daniel Ayala pokes a shot wide.

  17. Middlesbrough 2-0 Leeds Unitedpublished at 44 mins

Christian Stuani almost adds a third for Middlesbrough. The Uruguay forward races into the box and attempts to meet a left-wing cross six yards out, but can't quite get a touch to the ball.

  18. Middlesbrough 2-0 Leeds Unitedpublished at 41 mins

Leeds threaten with another counter-attack but Alex Mowatt's shot from 20 yards flashes wide of the far post.

Four minutes and stoppage time to go until the break.

Without Chris Wood, Leeds are struggling. They've not gone forward enough and they've not gone over the top. There's been a few threats on the goal but nothing major. That's a dreadful mistake by Bellusci.

That was a terrific diving header by Bellusci. Red faces for Leeds all round. What a howler - it was wonderfully pathetic.
