Right, we'll call it a day there. Plenty for England to be pleased about, not least their shape and work-rate. Perhaps lacking a bit of sharpness up front, but as Sue Smith mentioned, they finished their domestic league season last month, so we can forgive them that.

And that was the last of it. All over, encouraging performance from England, who defended very well. 

Nice turn and pass from Toni Duggan, who squares the ball to England Jill Scott, but she lifts her effort over. That was a decent chance and Jill knows it. 

Nails, no better word for it. Sara Dabritz makes her way across the penalty area but England defender Gilly Flaherty stops the German midfielder in her tracks with a thunderous tackle. 

Jess Clarke is in down the right for England and her cross is heading towards Demi Stokes before the England midfielder is muscled off the ball. 

Last five minutes now. Will we see some magic?

"England's work rate has been excellent. What is good about Jill Scott is that whether or not she plays she is a great character to have around. She is very consistent and always performs to a good level."

There's a chance here for England as Toni Duggan presses Laura Benkarth and forces the German goalkeeper into mis-controlling the ball. However, Jill Scott scuffs her long-range effort as Benkarth scrabbled back into her goal. 

England left-back Alex Greenwood now has a decent effort saved from 25 yards. It looked like it was spinning wide but Laura Benkarth was taking no chances in the German goal. 

England midfielder Jill Scott has the ball deep on the left and tries to slide it through to Jess Clarke but it just hasn't got the legs to reach her team-mate as Germany clear. 

Oh dear, Germany should score here. Dzsenifer Marozsan is completely unmarked, eight yards out but heads straight at Karen Bardsley. That is a let-off for England. 

Little scare for England as Karen Bardsley and Steph Houghton get in a muddle from a deep cross. But it's out for a corner. 

So is this made for a Toni Duggan winner? She is on for Jodie Taylor, while Jess Clarke replaces Fran Kirby, who has been relatively quiet. 

Another shot from Germany but again it's from distance and Karen Bardsley gathers after a brief fumble from Melanie Leupolz's effort.

Germany starting to knock the ball around well and switch play quickly. England still working hard to thwart them.

"Izzy Christiansen has had a really good season for Manchester City and the thing she has added to her game is goals. It's been a mature England performance so far."

Germany make a fifth change as Dzsenifer Marozsan comes on for Anja Mittag. England make their first alteration and Izzy Christiansen replaces Fara Williamson.

The fourth of the German replacements, who I forgot to mention, Melanie Leupolz, now fires at goal but England goalkeeper Karen Bardsley is well behind it. 

Another Germany attack earns a corner as the hosts start to make their changes count. Babett Peter fires goalwards as the set-piece is cleared and it's only a yard or so wide. Very close.
